Patrick Woodhead Talks Penguins in the Indian Ocean
Maldives Promotion House – This season Soneva Fushi by Six Senses is hosting a very special guest. An adventurer and a motivational speaker, Patrick Woodhead, will be giving a talk about penguins on 22nd June.
A Prince’s Trust Ambassador, Patrick, was part of the youngest and fastest team to reach the South Pole in 2002 and went on to lead the first ever East to West traverse of Antarctica, covering 1,850km in just 75 days.
Outside of the Polar World, he has been on many successful expeditions, summiting unclimbed mountains in Tibet and Kyrgyzstan, kayaking down unchartered rivers in the Amazon and being part of the team to set the fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
Patrick Woodhead is also a young professional climber, who runs White Desert, a company which arranges adventure expeditions to the Antarctic. When he is not in Antarctica, he divides his time between South Africa, the birthplace of his wife, and London.
For those of you, who wish to join Patrick round the Soneva Fushi camp fire to swap tales, and find out where all the emperor penguins are going, it’s time to pack your bags and head out.
