Have active, entertaining, educational Easter at Lily Beach Resort

Published

on

From the 15th of April until the 18th of April 2022, Lily Beach Resort & Spa will have some exciting Easter activities for its guests to enjoy. The Easter programme is a mixture of Active, Entertaining, and Educational (A.E.E.) activities, pronounced like “Eh-eii”. It will take place over four joyous days with the most important guest, myself, “The Easter Bunny”, will also be joining in on the fun at the resort.

The team at Lily Beach firmly believe that a holiday should have just the right balance between dynamic and leisure moments. After indulging in the best buffet experience with a tantalising and generous selection of food for every meal, it is very important for our guests to eggs-ercise and burn off some energy with active fun. Highlights of the Active programme is the Football Freestyle Camp by Guinness World Record Holder and Football Freestyler Extraordinaire – Marcel Gurk. This is complimented by a water-sports festival (pedal boat, kayaking, and catamaran), volleyball match, and most importantly the Easter egg hunt– where kids of all ages scour the island to find eggs hidden everywhere in the resort and collect them. Once the event is over, it’s time to enjoy those scrumptious Easter eggs.

There are some really eggs-citing and entertaining activities waiting for guests during this Easter period. At the end of the day, kids want to be at a place where it’s fun, and Lily Beach promises to deliver just that. Some entertaining events include the Easter colouring challenge, Easter egg painting, & basket decoration. Most importantly, the Football Freestyle Camp starts with a demonstration by Marcel on the 15th of April. Mark the date everyone.

All fun and no learning makes Jack and Jill dull kids. So, the team has also snuck some enjoyable educational opportunities into the Easter programme. Parents can rest easy knowing that their children are experiencing the joys of Flearning – learning while simultaneously having so much fun during their stay (get it?!?). For tactile learners, there are a few hands-on activities such as photo frame-making and muffin decorating waiting to be discovered.

The Football Freestyle Camp this Easter will be a great activity for boys and girls of all ages to enjoy at the resort and have some quality good time. At the end of the seven-day camp, guests will get an opportunity to showcase tricks that they have learnt during their stay. I look forwards to learning some sweet football freestyle tricks myself.

So, all are welcome, young and old, to Lily Beach Resort & Spa for an Easter Adventure filled with A.E.E. experiences. You do not want to miss this, as adults AND kids need a break after being super busy and stressed out there.

PSST… by the way, please do not let the resort management know about this. At least not yet! I wrote this article about the Easter Experience on their behalf. Looking forward to seeing all of you this Easter season at Lily Beach Resort & Spa– yes, even hardworking rabbits deserve a vacation in the Maldives as well!!

Niva Kuramathi brings Halloween magic with week of family fun

Published

on

Niva Kuramathi Maldives welcomes young explorers to a week of magic, mischief and island wonder. From 26 October to 1 November 2026, young explorers step into A Spooktacular Island Adventure – seven days of crafts, games, and small wonder. Each morning is a new discovery. Each afternoon dissolves into the pool, the beach, the gold of twilight.

A week of creepy creature craft, spooky sports challenges and witches potions

The week begins with the creation of spiders and ghosts taking form under small hands, followed by pumpkin races and a treasure hunt that winds through the island’s gardens. Wands are crafted, potions bubble in the pool, and at the Eco Centre the island reveals the nocturnal life that wakes when the light softens.

Midweek turns playful and bold – monster mini-Olympics gives way to Halloween yoga, a slow stretch, a steady breath, before spooky bookmarks and beach games fill the hours. As evening settles, the zombie dance party begins and kids have fun mastering three awkward moves – stiff arms outstretched, the stumble and stomp, and bobbling head.

Small creatures come alive in craft and challenge. Bats take flight from paper and paint. A haunted sandcastle rises at the water’s edge, built together, shaped by tide and sand. Vampire ball games, pool challenges, and Halloween tattoos – an afternoon that turns easily into dancing.

When the Whole Island Wears a Mask

On Halloween, coconuts become canvases. Faces transform. Costumes appear as the light lengthens toward the Bageecha Trick-or-Treat event. Spooky games, sweet surprises, and a pool party where music and laughter carry over the water. A day of wonder, a night to remember.

Halloween feels different at Niva Kuramathi – softer, warmer, closer to nature. A week where children imagine freely, play barefoot, and find a little magic in the everyday. The sand, the lagoon, the golden hour – where they become part of the story.
