The Residence Maldives introduces new after dark experiences
Night Diving and Snorkelling – Snorkelling and diving by night gives a completely new perspective on the ocean as the Maldivian corals come alive with different aquatic life and fauna after dark. Guests can experience the magic of phosphorescent plankton lighting up the ocean as they swim, while marine life emerges from to explore the water. Using torchlights to observe the nocturnal behaviours of marine creatures will help to expose the full spectrum of colour of life underwater during this new diving experience.
Full Moon Yoga – Guests can now perform their best Moon Salutations during a unique yoga class under the glow of the full moon and twinkling stars. Taking place at each full moon, qualified instructors will help guests find their balance beneath the moonlight and recharge their mind and body. Alongside building strength and improving upon endurance, the calming light of the moon illuminating the sky is said to allow for a deeper level of focus, allowing creative energy to flow while connecting the mind and body with a sequence of yoga poses. Easily adaptable for all levels, full moon yoga is perfect for beginners and seasoned yogis alike.
Sunset Paddle Boarding – experience the serenity of being on the water as the sun sets, in a calming stand up paddle session in the most beautiful environment. As the sun goes down, guests can watch the waters light up with a view of marine life like never before. The SUP guided tour is perfect for relaxing after a long day and a special way to interact with the marine life in the Maldives. As phosphorescent plankton illuminate the water, guests can enjoy some of the best views of the island while gliding across the surface towards the setting sun.
