Baraabaru Restaurant at Kuda Huraa among the ‘101 Best Hotel Restaurants Around the World’
Maldives Promotion House – Baraabaru Restaurant from Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, has made it to The Daily Meal’s first annual ‘101 Best Hotel Restaurants Around the World’ List.
Baraabaru restaurant situated in a picturesque corner of Kuda Huraa is inspired by the architecture of Kerala, with a spectacular torch-lit deck over the lagoon. It features an open kitchen with a tandoori bar. Chefs prepare classic Indian dishes with an emphasis on local seafood like Maldivian fish cakes and onion- and mint-marinated tiger prawns; biryanis are served in clay pots. There is a special Sunday night Ghar Ka Khana, a buffet of curries, biryanis, chutneys, and kebabs. The dining experience is enhanced by the melodious strains of the sitar and tabla. To celebrate special occasions there is also an exclusive private dining pavilion.

Baraabaru is the only restaurant selected from Maldives, and appears next to internationally recognised hotel restaurants such as Alain Ducasse at Plaza Athénée Hotel (Paris) and Joël Robuchon Restaurant at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas). Only 21 restaurants from Asia made to the list and the other Asian countries contributed to the list are China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam
