Tomasz Borucki joins The Beach House Maldives

Maldives Promotion House – The Beach House at Iruveli Maldives has appointed Tomasz Borucki as the resort’s new Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director.

Borucki holds a Chef’s Diploma of American Culinary Federation, the world’s leading chefs’ association. In 2012 he received the Starwood Presidency Award as recognition of his culinary knowledge and skills. Just a few months later together with his team Borucki received a Food and Beverage Excellence Award for the outstanding results in the Food and Beverage category in the EAME Hotels for 2011.

Borucki’s culinary adventure began seventeen years ago under the guidance of the Swiss Chef, Kurt Sheller, in the Forte Hotel Bristol in Warsaw and the Italian Chef, Vladimir Scanu, who is currently the General Manager of Kanuhura Resort in Maldives. Borucki’s first celebrity guest in his professional career was the British Queen Elizabeth II, who visited the Hotel Bristol in Warsaw, Poland in 1996, which was when the hotel became a first five star property and a member of the ”leading hotels of the world”. Since 1997 Borucki worked around the world in various hotels and cruise liners that included the famous Queen Elizabeth II that has circled the world three times with Borucki aboard.

The Beach House at Iruveli Maldives is lucky to have Tomasz and his enthusiasm on board, where great projects are being put into place. Borucki says: “I like fresh and simple cuisine as I am not a revolutionist, but an evolutionist. Here in the Beach House at Iruveli I would like to bring some new ideas and current culinary trends that are popular around the world. I am here to exceed our guests’ expectations by offering high quality products and services. I will bring my attention to details, as perfectionism is a must in every Chef’s career. Being both the Director of Food and Beverage and an Executive Chef helps me to build teamwork between service and kitchen departments. If the teams cooperate well, I can achieve my goals and set them even higher”.
