Maldives Promotion House – ADK Company has joined forces with Akarsu Group from Turkey to develop Gaakoshibee Resort & Spa.

ADK started developing resort at Gakoshibee island in the year 2007 and was halted due to financial difficulties. According to ADK Company they have completed 60 percent of the construction. Total investment for the resort will be USD 100 million.

ADK expect to open the resort in the third quarter of 2013 with the new investments.

The five-star resort  in the Shaviyani Atoll, 55-minute flight by seaplane from Ibrahim Nasir Internation Airport in Male’ will feature 123 villas built over the beach and lagoon. The island is largely untouched with dense foliage throughout and boasts a pristine white sand beach fronting the resort.
