LUX* Maldives Expands Social Media Activities to China

Maldives Promotion House – LUX* Resorts has expanded their social media activities to the popular Chinese service, Weibo. One of the most popular websites in china, Weibo is used by well over 30 percent of internet users.

The Facebook and Twitter hybrid, launched on 14th August 2009, has more than 300 million registered users as of February 2012, and about 100 million messages are posted each day.

According to LUX* Maldives since the launching of their account their fan base has begun to increase rapidly. “The new account is and it’s already incredible to see how fans starts to flow in,” Press & PR Manager for LUX* Maldives, Dolores Semeraro said.
