Hideaway Beach Resort offers lessons with Portuguese tennis pro Leonardo Tavares
Hideaway Beach Resort and Spa Maldives is hosting professional tennis lessons for guests with Portuguese tennis player Leonardo Tavares for three months.
Guests visiting Hideaway Beach Resort in October, November and December can improve their game, learn new skills or simply be able to say they played a game against a world-class tennis player.
At Hideaway Beach Resort, two outdoor, hard surface courts await players of all standards. Both courts are floodlit, allowing the possibility of playing in the evening after the hot Maldivian sun has set.
Tavares is a Portuguese professional tennis player who has regularly competed on the ATP Challenger Tour throughout his career. In August 2010, he achieved a career-high singles world ranking of 186. He also played regularly for the Portugal Davis Cup team between 2002 and 2011.
Located in the northernmost Haa Alif atoll, Hideaway Beach Resort and Spa is accessible by a 50-minute domestic flight followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride.
The five-star resort offers guests the luxury of space and privacy across 297,000 square metres. The 103 luxury villas fall into eight categories ranging from beachfront to over-water. Each villa has been carefully positioned to offer peace, comfort and privacy to guests.
