Jauhara to Open Their Latest Resort in Maldives
Maldives Promotion House – Maldives is giving way to a completely new concept of tourism. In order to cater for the rising number of Muslim and Arabian tourists, Maldives will soon open its first Islamic resort by the famous Jauhara Group of Dubai. Maldives is a 100 percent Muslim country, and the Sharia compliant resort will be opened in 2013.
The three Jauhara hotels in Dubai are run by Lootah Hotel Management (LHM). LHM and Maldivian investor Kalaidhu Investment recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a partnership.
“We are happy to be partnering with Kalaidhu Investment for our upcoming resort project. The decision comes as part of the Group’s strategy to expand its footprint and customer base towards prestigious tourism destinations around the world,” CEO of Lootah Hotel Management Nasser Lootah said.
While the resort island is yet to be revealed, the Jauhara Group has confirmed that the island has already been analysed by the group.
“We recently visited the island and it’s a very beautiful. I’m sure it will be a very successful resort,” General Manager of Jauhara Group, Hani Lashin said.
With an investment of USD70 to 100 million, Jauhara plans to construct 50 to 75 suites with a separate and private swimming pool in each suite. While food and beverages will be strictly according to the traditional Islamic values, Alcohol and pork will not be served at the resort.
The resort is due to be opened in early 2014 with fully featured facilities that ensure strict privacy and welfare of families.
