Hayleys acquire Kudarah from Yacht Tours Maldives
Maldives.net.mv – Sri Lanka’s Hayleys group has acquired Kudarah Island Resort in the Maldives for US$23 million from Yacht Tours Maldives Pvt Ltd.
Kudarah Island Resort Maldives opened in 2014 is located in South Ari Atoll and it offers 51 luxury villas, three restaurants, a dive center and other leisure facilities. The resort close to the popular Kudarah Thila dive site can be reached by a 25 minute seaplane ride from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport in Male’.
The resort will be branded Amaya Kudarah Maldives under the management of Amaya Leisure and it will complement city hotels and resorts portfolio in Sri Lanka.. Currently Hayleys own and manage nine hotels and resorts under its leisure division. Hayleys PLC was ranked as the No.1 company in the LMD’s Top 100 listed companies of Sri Lanka in 2015. The resort acquisition was made by Hayleys subsidiary Luxury Resort (Pvt) Ltd., incorporated in the Maldives.
