Mercure Kooddoo hosts Maldives’ largest skydiving event
Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort, in association with Sky Guys Pvt Ltd, has hosted the largest skydiving event in Maldives.
Held from February 1-24, the Skydive Maldives event saw the participation of 328 licensed skydivers from over 20 different countries.
For over three weeks, they used a Super Caravan aircraft from Germany to conduct over 5,000 jumps above the island of Kooddoo.
A small island, located about three miles from Kooddoo, was designated as an offsite.

The event was covered by every skydiving publication around the globe. Its social media coverage provided unlimited free advertising for the Maldives through Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and Twitter.
In addition to Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort and sister resort Pullman Maldives Maamutaa, the event was supported by Manta Air, Association of Sky Sports Maldives and Tsunami Skydivers.
