Meeru welcomes new resident Marine Biologist

Meeru Island Resort and Spa has welcomed Emma Bolton as its new resident Marine Biologist.

In an announcement, Meeru said Emma has been embedded with the Euro-Divers team based in the resort. She will provide valuable information and education to the guests through various means, it added.

Born and raised in London, Emma has previously lectured at the London School of Diving in the UK, and worked with marine conservation organisations in the UK, the Galapagos Islands, Mexico and Cuba. She is in the Maldives for the first time.

“Today Emma [is] establishing several projects for Meeru Island Resort and we wish her all the success,” the announcement read.

Meeru is one of the largest resorts in the Maldives, offering its guests a variety of facilities and affordable to superior accommodation options. With five types of room categories to choose from, Meeru counts more than 280 rooms, five restaurants, five bars, a renowned spa with both overwater and land treatment rooms as well as a range of sports and other recreational facilities.
