Global social influencers fall in love with Kandima’s ‘New Maldives’ experience
Social Influencers from around the world have finally found an island they can fall in love with. It is the New Maldives — a place to party, chill, be active and #JustPlay. It is Kandima Maldives!
TV Reality stars Montana Brown and Georgia Harrison from the recent UK TV show Love Island were joined by social media influencers from all corners of the world, including UK music artist and Beauty Blogger CC Clarke, Australian TV presenter and Fitness Guru Brooke Chamberlain, and Singaporean actress Dawn Yeoh for a weekend of picture-perfect activities at the newly-opened party island Kandima Maldives.
The #KandimaInstaWeekend was the first ever social media dedicated weekend to be held in the Maldives with a programme of back-to-back Insta-worthy activities.
After the girls and boys touched down at Kandima by private seaplane, they were given a map of the most Instagrammable spots around the Island and kicked off the weekend with sunset cocktails in Kandima’s super “kool” Honeymoon Aqua Villa where the influencers could get to know each other ahead of the weekend’s festivities.
Throughout the weekend, Montana, Georgia and the crew found out what it means to #GetKandimanised with beach games, a massage class at the new esKape spa, windsurfing, cocktail creation classes, snorkelling on the nearby reef, sunrise yoga, mediterranean cooking classes, a sunset pool party and a KULA art class — a Kandima initiative devised with local artists exhibiting their art throughout the resort.
The awesome guests also explored the island on bikes and enjoyed some downtime sunbathing and sipping cocktails by the longest pool in the Maldives.
The #KandimaInstaWeekend experience mirrors the new lifestyle experience Kandima offers to guests. The resort does not get hung up on luxury and exclusivity — it is for everyone. It is a place where guests can chill, be active, healthy, creative and know that they are being eco-friendly too.
Jez Nordkamp, the Resort Manger of Kandima Maldives, says he is thrilled to be the first resort in the Maldives to host such an event.
“Social media is the perfect platform to showcase what differentiates Kandima from other resorts in the Maldives. We’re an island (desti)nation for everyone. We love to party, but also chill and take in the beauty of the Maldives. We also have the largest Kids’ Club in the country called Kandiland, so it’s perfect for families. The #KandimaInstaweekend programme captured the essence of Kandima’s fun, social and playful spirit and showcased the abundance of activities we have for guests here on the island,” he was quoted as saying, in a statement.
“It was awesome to have such a fun, amazing group of people here to party and #GetKandimatised!”
During their stay, InstaWeekenders hashtagged it up with #KandimaInstaWeekend #MyKindOfPlace #JustPlay #AnythingButOrdinary and #GetKandimatised.
Located on a lush tropical island in Dhaalu Atoll, Kandima offers a choice of 274 stylishly designed studios and villas, with 11 different categories to choose from, all of which have a private terrace and endless tropical views to enjoy.
