Hilton Resorts’ Lounge, the Grandeur of Hospitality
Maldives Promotion House – Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi Resort & Spa, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, and Beach House Maldives, A Waldorf Astoria Resort are among the most luxurious resorts in Maldives.
Hilton Maldives offers 221 villas and features four restaurants, while Conrad Maldives, with its seven restaurants including the underwater restaurant, has 50 luxurious water villas, 79 exotic beach villas and 21 fabulous spa water villas with private treatment rooms and a Jacuzzi on the sundeck. Beach House comprises of 83 villas and suites, each with their own private plunge pool.
The three resorts share a lounge at the seaplane terminal of Malé International Airport. Opened on 20th February 2011, the new lounge is aimed to offer a welcoming relaxation after the long international flight.
Once the guests arrive via the international flight, guests are met by the resort representatives and shuttled to the lounge after a 10 minute drive. The guests will then await seaplane transportation to the resorts in maximum comfort of the lounge. The lounge indeed has grandeur unmatched by any other resort lounge in Maldives.
“Once they’ve landed at the airport, guests transfer by seaplane to our three resorts in the Maldives,” Regional General Manager Carsten Schieck said.
“We felt that gave us an opportunity to create a fantastic arrival experience that no other resorts in the country can match. We therefore created this private lounge, inspired by the best international airline lounges, where our guests can enjoy spa treatments, refuel on freshly prepared food or simply just relax and begin their holiday in style.”
Designed to be the equal of the best airline airport lounges in the world, the spacious private lounge facilities include a spa, a children’s play room, a balcony with sun loungers, freshly prepared hot and cold dishes as well as live cooking by the resident chef.
Located on the second floor of the Trans Maldivian Airlines seaplane terminal, guests can watch seaplanes taking off and landing in the lagoon in front of the lounge and a bird-eye view of the airport to the rear while they relax.
Guests travelling to Beach House Maldives, a Waldorf Astoria Resort and Conrad Maldives Rangali Island enjoy a large shared lounge, while guests of Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi have their own, separate, area. While the lounge is open to all guests transferring to the three resorts by seaplane, Waldorf Astoria guests transferring by domestic flight will not have access to the seaplane lounge.
The Hilton Resorts’ Lounge is the only lounge in the country yet, that stays open to provide services to customers in the evening. The seaplane lounge facilities can also be booked by guests who have late evening departure flights on their way back home avoiding the necessity of booking day-use rooms in nearby hotels. The lounge is open seven days a week from 07:00AM until 05:00PM on a complimentary basis and from 05:00PM until 11:00PM for a fee.
Rates for using the lounge in the evening are USD80 per person for adults and USD40 per child under the age of 12. The rates are subject to 10% Service charge and 3.5% T-GST. This rate includes use of all the lounge facilities, buffet dinner and soft drinks.
