Dusit Thani Maldives triumphs at the Dusit International Leadership Workshop, winning four awards

Dusit Thani Maldives, a luxury resort on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, picked up four prestigious awards at the 2019 edition of the Dusit International Leadership Workshop, an annual conference arranged by Dusit to share best practices within the group and recognise the achievements of its various hotels and resorts worldwide.
Alongside awards for “Highest ReviewPro Key Indicators” and “The Highest Profit Growth (Owned Hotel),” the resort also received the prestigious “Hotel Of The Year 2018” accolade for the second time, together with its sister property, Dusit Thani Guam. This accolade is awarded to the best performing hotels within the Dusit group based on a variety of criteria evaluated over the year, including Employee Opinion Survey results and highest average room rates.

Mr Ishaaq Idrees, F&B supervisor (The Market Restaurant), Dusit Thani Maldives, was recognised for his exceptional performance, innovative ideas, and personalised service by receiving the “Outstanding Business Contribution Award.” This accolade is awarded to employees who demonstrate exemplary behaviour in implementing Dusit’s Vision, Mission and Values.
With his friendly nature, ‘can do’ attitude, and willingness to always help others, Mr Idrees has played a key role in delighting guests at The Market Restaurant and enhancing service delivery. In 2018, the restaurant’s ReviewPro score reached an impressive 91.6%.

Following the haul of awards at the Dusit International Leadership Workshop, Dusit Thani Maldives continued its winning streak at the 2019 edition of Dusit’s Sales & Marketing Conference, where it picked up the “Best Outstanding Performance Hotel 2018” award.
“We are honoured to be recognised for our devotion to service excellence with these prestigious awards,” said Mr Reinhold Johann, General Manager, Dusit Thani Maldives. “All our awards are the result of a collective team effort to ensure guests are well taken care of at Dusit Thani Maldives. I would like to thank all our associates for their continuous hardwork, and I am sure these awards will motivate us to do even better in the coming years.”
Dusit Thani Maldives comprises 94 villas and residences, along with three restaurants, two bars, and Dusit’s signature Devarana Spa. The resort is surrounded by a rich house reef, white sandy beaches and a turquoise lagoon. A well-equipped Kids Club adds to the resort’s family-friendly appeal. The resort is located on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, the Maldives’ first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, just 35 minutes by seaplane from the capital city, Malé.
