Anantara Yoga Maldives.net.mv – This December Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli in the Maldives will team up with England’s renowned Yogasphere wellness retreats, taking guests on journey of self-discovery and wellness through yoga and meditation. Surrounded by the pristine beaches and crystal clear waters, the lagoon shared by Anantara Dhigu, Anantara Veli and Naladhu Maldives is the ideal place to find inner peace and relaxation.

Recipient of the World Travel Awards 2015 Leading Spa Resort Brand in the Maldives, Anantara Spa delivers an holistic approach to wellness that results in the perfect harmony of outer radiance and inner serenity. Launched September last year, Anantara’s new Balance concept addresses the health savvy traveller and growing demand to seek professional guidance on how best to achieve the right balance in life. Resident and visiting practioners, as well as hosted retreats such as Yogasphere, are attracted to Balance’s refreshing concept, as it offers an inspirational variety of health, wellbeing and healing elements that are incorporated into a luxury Anantara holiday.

At the heart of Yogasphere are founders and life partners leading Harley Street life coach Leo Lourdes and Mandy Jhamat, described by Marie Claire as one of the UK’s top yoga teachers. With the simple mantra that ‘Bliss is Boundless’, Yogasphere believe yoga is a living breathing philosophy that enlightens and inspires, transforming your body and mind.

Leo Lourdes says, “We’re very excited to be holding our Yogasphere retreat in the Maldives with a resort brand that lays so much importance and value on Spa, Yoga and wellness. We often get requests for running retreats in Maldives and we are delighted to bring our existing and new clients exclusively here for our yoga retreats at Anantara. Some locations in the world impress you, others impress upon you. Then there are places like Anantara that are simply unforgettable.”

With over 7,000 clients worldwide; Mandy and Leo provide weekly classes at esteemed locations across London such as the top of The Shard, one to one sessions, life coaching, yoga at work, and stunning international wellbeing retreats in environments conducive to wellness. Anantara in South Male Atoll, Maldives, could not be more true to the wellness values modern travellers seek when balancing healthy living with a sense of discovery.

During a week in paradise from 5th to 12 December, acclaimed Yogasphere tutors will guide guests through the principles of Yoga with a combination of movement, seminars and mind-body practices to create a dynamic flow. In between two daily yoga sessions, the world’s greatest paradise awaits discovery. The Maldivian elements of lush tropical nature, soft powdery white sands and translucent ocean provide vivid and sensual inspiration as well as a natural healing environment.

Just 35 minutes by speedboat from Male International Airport, the private island resorts of Anantara Veli, Anantara Dhigu and Naladhu are perfect for an inspiring yoga retreat where turquoise waters beckon from your choice of beach, ocean facing and over water villas. Guests enjoy a host of dining options across various world cuisines, infinity pools and fitness centres, as well as a multitude of water sports, from diving to surfing, deep sea fishing and sailing.

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas is inviting guests to embark on a holistic journey guided by three visiting wellness practitioners, each specialising in distinct approaches to healing. Drawing on traditional knowledge and contemporary practice, the practitioners will offer therapies at the resort’s overwater spa designed to align body, mind, and spirit in a tranquil Maldivian setting. Disciplines include Ayurveda, energy-based therapies, sound healing, and mindful movement, with personalised consultations and bespoke treatments available.

A fifth-generation Ayurvedic physician, Dr Jithurag continues a 300-year family lineage rooted in holistic balance. Trained within the Rameswaram Tantric tradition, he blends Ayurvedic principles with elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, integrating marma therapy and acupuncture with Reiki and Pranic Healing. Using wellness screening technologies to assess biomarkers, he designs tailored treatment plans. Guests may book a complimentary consultation and choose from signature therapies such as TCM Acupuncture, Cupping Therapy, Marma Abhyanga, and Back Restoration Therapy.

Holistic therapist and Ayurvedic healer Sharath Ram brings more than 16 years’ experience in supporting physical, mental, and spiritual balance. His work combines Ayurveda with energy practices and therapeutic yoga to encourage both recovery and transformation. His specialities include Chakra Inner Energy Balancing, Ayurveda Deep Fusion Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Maderotherapy, and Mind-Body Healing. He will also lead complimentary workshops, including The Art of Breathing and Dynamic Meditation, focusing on breathwork and movement to promote calm and clarity.

From Kerala, India, Vinod Narayanan offers over a decade of experience in Ayurveda, yoga, and holistic healing across Europe, Africa, and Asia, including service as a personal physician to dignitaries. At Anantara Kihavah he will provide therapies such as Himalayan Sound Healing Massage, De-Armouring Body Therapy, Abdominal Detox, Access Bars Energy Healing, and Gut-Brain Rewiring. Using vibration, touch, and energy alignment, his sessions aim to release emotional blockages, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural rhythm. Complimentary consultations are available, alongside sound-based journeys that seek to harmonise body and spirit.

Together, the practitioners complement Anantara Kihavah’s wellbeing philosophy, extending from Ayurvedic traditions to sound therapy. Guests are invited to the overwater Anantara Spa for bespoke treatments, meditative workshops, and one-to-one consultations that encourage connection with self and nature.

Further enhancing the experience, the resort has introduced reimagined Beach Pool Villas featuring natural textures, open-plan spaces, and private pools set within tropical greenery.

JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort announces a transformative new collaboration with Soulful Feasts by Stephanie Zubiri, presenting Soulful Journeys: The Inner Odyssey — a five-day Thanksgiving wellness retreat designed to guide guests through renewal, gratitude, and alignment of body, mind, and spirit.

Running from November 25–29, 2025, the residency will feature a curated series of Soulful Embodiment group practices and one-on-one private sessions, offering a rare integration of psychology, energy work, and embodied storytelling. Rooted in Zubiri’s signature method that blends Jungian depth psychology, archetypal mapping, imaginal practices, and intuitive energy alignment, the program invites guests to journey inward, shed old narratives, and rediscover the fullness of their being.

Throughout the week, guests are invited to embark on a deeply restorative journey that celebrates gratitude and mindful living amid the gentle rhythm of the Indian Ocean. They will experience sessions such as Renew: Shedding & Clearing, Calm: Centering & Grounding, Gratitude & Abundance, Invigorate: Awakening Vitality, and Integrate & Close: A Gratitude Circle & Intention Setting—each one a step in the alchemical process of transformation.

“At Soulful Feasts, my mission has always been to help people reclaim the authorship of their own stories,” shares Stephanie Zubiri, founder of Soulful Feasts. “The work goes far beyond yoga or meditation—it’s about alignment, energy, and sovereignty. By weaving together body, mind, and spirit, we awaken a deeper sense of presence and purpose. The Inner Odyssey is an invitation to realign with gratitude and remember that we are already whole.”

A celebrated author, journalist, and wellness facilitator, Zubiri has led transformative retreats and workshops across Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, and Guam, and collaborated with luxury partners including La Mer, L’Occitane, and Namia River Retreat. Her approach—where psychology, wellness, and energy work converge—has resonated deeply with modern seekers and corporate leaders alike through her Soft Power and Embodied Leadership programs.

At JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort, guests will have the opportunity to book exclusive one-on-one sessions such as Oracle Card Readings, Soul Conversations, Energy Alchemy, and Archetypal Mapping, alongside the group Soulful Embodiment practices that bring reflection into embodied experience.
