Kurumba Maldives releases their 2014/15 festive season programme

Maldives.net.mv – Kurumba Maldives has prepared a comprehensive Festive Season programme for its guests to celebrate and to welcome 2014 highlighting enriching and interesting experiences.
The program has many unique activities such as Maldivian cooking classes, wine tastings in the lagoon and cocktail mixology classes. For children, treasure hunts, kids karaoke and many other activities will be available. We have also heard that Santa will be making his entrance in a rather unique way.
On Christmas Eve, a sumptuous seafood buffet and live cooking station dinner in Thila will be served and accompanied with live entertainment.
On New Year’s Eve, the theme will be a night at the Oscars. The event will be a walk down the red carpet, commencing with champagne at the end of the guests’ cocktail. An innovative and scrumptious buffet will be served in Thila whist being entertained with local dance, Sri Lankan drummers and the announcement of the Oscar awards. The party will move into Kandu Bar into the late night with live bands and DJ. In terms of dress, think glamorous.
The following day, a complimentary recovery brunch will be served starting from 8.00am and finishing at 2.30pm. Orthodox Christmas will be served in Thila with a focus on fresh seafood and entertainment in Kandu Bar by the Maldives most popular band, Def Note. Kurumba Maldives is celebrating the success of 2014 and will bring in 2015 in style.

Amilla Maldives has wrapped up its Easter celebrations, where ‘Wands, Wings and Easter Things’ set the tone for a fortnight of playful wonder woven into the island’s serene surroundings.
The journey began with inviting guests to ease into the season with an array of themed. The celebrations blossomed into 10 days of imagination and delight — a reflection of the resort’s warm and inviting spirit.

On Easter Sunday, one of the highlights of the day was surely the whimsical ‘Wings of Wonder’ Easter Egg hunt, led by the charming Mystique Dragon MC, who brought together families and friends for a dash of adventure and discovery. Next guests gathered for a traditional Easter Sunday Brunch filled with seasonal flavours accompanied by the soulful melodies from Naail Quartet on the pool deck, while the Mystique Beats Dragon DJ brought playful energy to the afternoon. Throughout the day, the Fiesta Fairies, Strolling Magic performers, Acrobatic Bunnies — and of course, a sprinkling of wands and wings — kept the island buzzing.

As the final Easter things are tucked away, Amilla Maldives extends its heartfelt thanks to all the guests who joined in the celebration, and to the islanders who brought the ‘Wands, Wings and Easter Things’ theme to life with creativity and warmth. The island now looks ahead to welcoming guests back for more memorable escapes, shaped by nature’s rhythms and the simple joys of island life.
