TTM is an Essential Event for Maldives Tourism Industry – Hussain Afeef

Maldivian business pioneer Mr. Hussain (Champa) Afeef has praised Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) and highlighted the importance of TTM as a necessity for progress in the Tourism and Hospitality industry of Maldives.
“I think it’s a very positive thing. Because we have to be known. We have to be heard. That’s the only way we can promote ourselves. I don’t think the people in the industry can do all these things together with all the work of successfully maintaining a hotel or resort. We could back up, help and participate but we need people to manage and organize events like TTM for the betterment of the industry.”
Mr. Afeef went on to say that TTM, the first fair of its kind in the Maldives, will create waves throughout the world.
“I think every step like this is a step forward for sure. It’s a new idea in Maldives, it’s going to create awareness, and the noise is going to go around the world.”
Travel Trade Maldives (TTM), slated for 12th and 13th July 2017, is the platform that connects the travel trade community of the Maldives to the global network of travel agents easily and instantly. Staged annually in Maldives, TTM aims to facilitate the tourism industry of Maldives to reach the ultimate target of 2 million tourists with over $3.5 billion in receipts by the end of 2020. More than 300 hoteliers, suppliers, related industries and travel professionals from Maldives and abroad are expected to visit TTM to network, negotiate and discover the latest industry opinion and trends in Maldives.
