Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru introduces AntiGravity Yoga

Maldives.net.mv – The Spa and Ayurvedic Retreat at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru announces an exciting new addition to its health and wellbeing offering: AntiGravity Yoga.
The first resort in Asia to offer founder Christopher Harrison’s groundbreaking and gravity-defying yoga technique,Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru has built an impressive hexagonal Yoga Pavilion – in a private jungle clearing – dedicated to the art of AntiGravity Yoga.
Suitable for guests aged 16 and above, AntiGravity Yoga utilises hammocks, enabling participants to take yoga into the three-dimensional realm. But it is not just for the athletic and adventurous: all abilities and body types can benefit from the highly therapeutic technique. Slightly suspended above the ground, it provides relief to the physical body and facilitates the practice of inverted postures; not to mention releasing a tangible feeling of joy from endorphins and a magical sense of flying.
AntiGravity elevates the discipline of yoga in every sense of the word – from the floating experience to fast-tracking flexibility and strength as compared with more traditional forms of practice. “It is about reconnecting the body and mind, and rediscovering balance – a process that is accelerated by the incredible natural surrounds of Landaa Giraavaru,” comments Christopher Harrison, founder of AntiGravity, who personally travelled to the Resort to train its yogis.
Landaa Giraavaru is about exploring wellness in all its forms – whether building a coral reef, visiting the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre or discovering personal approaches such as Ayurveda and chakra balancing. Renowned as one of Asia’s leading centres of natural wellness, the Resort’s Spa and Ayurvedic Retreat remains at the forefront of exploring the dynamics of wellbeing in all its forms.
“AntiGravity Yoga is new, exciting, incredibly beneficial, and aligns perfectly with the Landaa philosophy,” explains the Resort’s Director of Spa Sandie Johannessen. “In our constant pursuit for youth, it’s a great way to have fun while working out – leaving you feeling both powerful and fabulous. And the relaxation meditation at the end of the practice, cocooned in the hammock, is pure bliss.”
