Kandima Maldives hosts annual #InstaWeekend

Kandima Maldives has brought together an awesome mix of bloggers and social influencers for its second #InstaWeekend.

Twenty invitees arrived from Sri Lanka, UK, Malaysia, Singapore, USA, Brazil, Holland and Israel for the event that took place between May 4-7 on the resort’s tropical playground.

The weekend was fun-packed with Kandima’s signature events, like a welcome cocktail party at Breeze Pool Bar with its signature 100-metre long pool, which is considered to be the longest in the Maldives; pool parties at the famous Beach Club with UFO pods; White Party at Forbidden Bar; art class curated by local artists; barista workshop at Aroma Art Café; aerial yoga; Dolphin Quest excursion, snorkelling trips and drone photographic shoots.

Extraordinary prizes were offered during the welcome dinner on the arrival day, so everybody could also experience Kadnima’s esKape Spa and Aquaholics water sports centre, both located on the white coral sand beach.

Kandima’s #InstaWeekend received over 100,000 impressions on Instagram alone. The resort’s key hashtags were used: #KandimaMaldives #MyKindOfPlace #JustPlay and #AnythingButOrdinary.

“The idea behind the event was to offer bloggers a chance to experience Kandima Maldives’ lifestyle holiday the way its guests do. The resort caters for families, honeymooners, couples and groups of friends. There is always something for everyone on the island. It is a place where guests can chill, be active, healthy, and creative and know that they are being eco-friendly too,” Anna Karas, the Director of Marketing Communication and PR at Kandima, was quoted in a statement, as saying.

During the #InstaWeekend, Kandima’s crew also witnessed the engagement of two American bloggers from San Diego, who were also celebrating their two-year anniversary as a couple on the island nation.

Located on a lush tropical island in Dhaalu Atoll, Kandima offers a choice of 272 stylishly designed studios and villas, with 11 different categories to choose from, all of which have a private terrace and endless tropical views to enjoy.

The four-star plus resort, which opened just over a year ago, has first class infrastructure, boasting the largest pool in
the Maldives, tennis courts, an art studio, a marine biology school, a kids club, a game room, a library, a gym, a yoga studio and a spa. There is plenty to keep everyone occupied and the array of activities and events on offer is endless, including a huge choice of watersports, diving or snorkelling near the house reef, yoga, Zumba, bicycles, beach volleyball, petanque, arts and crafts lessons, and much more.
