MEGA Starts Flights Between Hangzhou and Malé

Maldives Promotion House – Mega Maldives has begun flights between Malé and Hangzhou in Eastern China. This is the sixth City connected to Maldives by Mega and new route is served by a B767-300.

Hangzhou is the capital and largest city of  Zhejiang Province in Eastern China. With over 8 million in population it is an industrial city with many diverse sectors such as in light industry, agriculture, textile, It is also considered an important manufacturing base and logistics hub for coastal China. Hangzhou is renowned for its historic relics and natural beauty. It is often known as one of the most beautiful cities in China, also ranking as one of the most scenic cities.

While China has proven itself as a prominent market for the Maldives’ tourism industry, a recent survey has shown that the Maldives is now most popular beach destination for Chinese travelers. This popularity, combined with the recent sluggish performance of western economies, has led to the world’s most populous nation becoming one of the Maldives’ most vital sources of incoming tourist arrivals.
