SpiceJet to start flights from Kochi and Trivandrum to Malé

Maldives Promotion House – Indian budget airline SpiceJet is all set to enhance flight connections between India and Maldives. It was confirmed they will start daily flights from Kochi (KOC) and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV) to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport in Malé (MLE).

Flights will begin on 29th November and the airline would be deploying Bombardier Q400 aircrafts for both routes. The Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop aircrafts can accommodate 78 passengers and is widely accepted as one of the best short-haul plane globally. Ticket prices start from USD 99 for one way.

This will further enhance flight routes to other Indian cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai through SpiceJet’s flight network in India.

SpiceJet is a low-cost airline headquartered in Chennai, India owned by Kalanithi Maran. It began service in May 2005 and by 2012, it is India’s third largest airline in terms of market share.
