Turquoise Experience Scores at Asia Pacific Hotel Awards

Maldives Promotion House – During this year’s Asia Pacific Hotel Awards, the Maldivian hotel chain Turquoise Experience scored twice. Island Hideaway Spa, Resort & Marina at Dhonakulhi and Lily Beach Resort & Spa at Huvahendhoo won awards for themselves. Island Hideaway was awarded the “Best Small Hotel Maldives” and for its exceptional services, the “Five Star Award” was also won by Island Hideaway. With regard to the quality of leisure and recreational facilities Lily Beach was given the status of “Highly Commended.”

“We are really very proud that both hotels have cut so excellent. My thanks go to the team’s ongoing commitment and ambition to further develop the already high level of service which always pays off,” the Austrian General Manager for both resorts Michael Wieser, said.

A “Five Star Award” goes to each section, and two other prominent houses will each receive a “Highly Commended Award.” Some 18 countries participate in the Asia Pacific Hotel Awards of 2011.

The International Property Awards, aim is to seek out the best hotels from each country including those that have been purpose-built for conventions, spa, airports or resorts, was established 17 years ago. It judges to select the best sustainable hotel, with best hotel architecture, interior design, marketing and website.

Asia Pacific Hotel Awards is part of the International Property Awards. A number of outstanding hotel projects chosen for their green credentials, excellent architectural merit and design will represent the whole of Asia Pacific in the international competition which is supported by Bloomberg Television and Google.
