Maldives scores again at World Travel Awards
Maldives Promotion House – Once again Maldives walked off with top awards at World Travel Awards (WTA). At the awarding ceremony held in Singapore, Maldives scooped winners trophy for 15 categories out of 23 awards offered for Indian Ocean destinations, hotels and travel companies.
Maldives won the awards for Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination, Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination, Indian Ocean’s Leading Cruise Destination, Indian Ocean’s Leading Tourist Board while Ibrahim Nasir International Airport won the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading Airport.
LUX* Maldives took away the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading Hotel. Atoll Paradise from Maldives won the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading Travel Agency. Baros Maldives scored twice with awards for Indian Ocean’s Leading Luxury Resort and Indian Ocean’s Leading Villa awarded to their Baros Residence Villa.
Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Spa Resort & Marina was once again awarded the trophy for Indian Ocean’s Leading Boutique Hotel while their sister resort Lily Beach Resort & Spa was awarded Indian Ocean’s Leading Family Resort.
Indian Ocean’s Leading Green Resort award was awarded to Sun Island Resort & Spa. Indian Ocean’s Leading Water Villa Group was awarded to Adaaran Prestige Resorts.
Gili Lankanfushi well known for their spa once again took away the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading Spa Resort. Anantara Kihavah Villas won the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading New Hotel.
