Reveries Boutique Hotel Unveils its Urban Haven in Laamu Atoll Gan
Maldives Promotion House – The Reveries Diving Village has opened its doors in the idyllic island of Gan in Laamu Atoll. The property was developed by BISON Maldives Pvt Ltd in expanding the company’s portfolio in real estate development.
The island life and serenity of Laamu Gan, added with the unique features, such as a mythical freshwater lake that is estimated to be 60 meters deep and old Buddhist Temple ruins, add distinctive value to any traveler.
Reveries contains 23 guest rooms, Restaurant, Internet Café, Swimming Pool, Roof Top Café, Conference facilities, Spa, PADI Certified Dive School and Water Sport facilities. Further, excursions will be offered for sightseeing, picnics and fishing trips. Designed by a Maldivian architect, the property brings home a modern comfortable feeling with a local ambience to its guests.
The Reveries was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Maldives His Excellency Mohamed Nasheed and was also attended by over 600 well-wishers celebrating the event. In his opening statement, the President noted the employment opportunities it would create and commended Mr. Abdul Majeed (Macha) the Chairman of Bison Group, for his vision in becoming the first Maldivian to develop a hotel property in an inhabited island. The President further called upon the business community to follow in Bison’s footsteps as he has full confidence on the success of the Hotel.
Infrastructure on Laamu Gan is extensively developed with a domestic airport at Kadhoo which is connected by causeway to Gan Island, harbors, hospital developed by French Red Cross and the opening of a new international school in 2012 among other facilities.
Laamu Gan islanders welcomed the development. Mr. Hussein, who spent his entire life in Laamu atoll noted, “This is the happiest I have been after the opening of the airport. It will create a lot of jobs and opportunities for small business to grow. The success of Reveries will surely bring more investments to the region.”
Surfers are also thrilled with this new development due to the World Famous surf point ‘Yin Yang’ and other notables such as Isdhoo Bank and Refugees Lefts.
The Reveries will follow suit with its second property in Laamu Gan in the second half of 2012. The new property is being developed by Amin Construction Pvt. Ltd. and will be managed by Reveries. The property will consist of 20 rooms contained within 6 villas along with swimming pool and other F&B facilities.
