Kurumba Maldives celebrates International Women’s Day

Kurumba Maldives has celebrated International Women’s Day.
As an annual tradition, a number of exciting events and activities were organised on March 8 for resort’s female staff and guests.
The beginning of the day was marked with a wellness yoga session on the beach to raise awareness of healthy living, followed by friendly games and Zumba dance. The idea of celebrations was to fill the day with joy and fun and to bring unity to Kurumba’s female community.
As a special treat, Kurumba’s Chefs prepared a delicious ladies-only Cocktail Lunch in Thila, and the evening mood was set by the Ladies Comedy Under the Stars.
“With around 45 female staff in Kurumba’s Family, the resort is focused on empowering women through work and their daily life, with providing numerous possibilities for women to grow and learn equally with their male colleagues,” a statement issued by the resort read.
Kurumba, the very first resort in the Maldives, is set on a tropical island in the North Male Atoll, conveniently located a brief 10-minute speedboat ride away from the main airport.
