MMPRC meets tourism industry partners attending FITUR, BOOT and FESPO

Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation (MMPRC) has met with industry partners attending FITUR, BOOT & FESPO, the three travel exhibitions held in January 2017. The main objective of the pre-meeting is to give out detailed information of the exhibitions and provide the opportunity for the co-participants to clarify any information before the start of the exhibitions.

 

Maldives… the sunny side of life” is showcased in the 37th annual FITUR fair from 18th to 21st January 2017 at Madrid, Spain. This year Maldives will be represented by 29 participants from 15 companies which includes hotels, resorts and safari operators in a 64sqm area located in Hall 6 (Stand Number: 6E18).

Maldives will also be participating in 48th International Boat Show Düsseldorf 2016 to be hosted in Germany from 21-29 January. Together with MMPRC, 14 representatives from 6 companies of the tourism industry will be representing Maldives in the event. The main objective of participating in this fair is to promote Maldives as a diving destination.

Similarly, Maldives will be represented at FESPO held in Zurich, Switzerland from 26-29 January 2017.  Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation together (MMPRC) together with 6 companies from the tourism industry will be taking part at FESPO 2017.

Acting Managing Director of MMPRC, Mr. Haris Mohamed will be the head of delegation for BOOT and FESPO fair.

MMPRC’s Acting Managing Director Mr Haris Mohamed highlighted the importance of Maldives maintaining a bigger presence in European market in order to attract more business and visitors.

The Spanish, German and Swiss markets are very important market for Maldives and by participating in these exhibitions MMPRC is creating a platform for the industry to boost the number of arrivals to Maldives. With a 44.1% arrivals coming from Europe at the end of 2016, it is the 2nd largest market to Maldives.
