Peter Dietze Becomes GM of Amari Addu
Maldives Promotion House – Peter Dietze has been appointed as General Manager of one of the most recent resorts in Maldives, Amari Addu Maldives. With 273 villas Amari Addu has the longest beach of any resort in the Maldives.
Amari Addu, by ONYX Hospitality Group based in Thailand, will be opened in November this year. The resort is located on Addu, the Maldives’ southern most atoll, approximately 480 kilometers south of the capital city Malé.
Along with its four kilometers of beach, Amari Addu also has three natural lagoons and a turtle hatchery. Only 20 minutes away from Gan International Airport, via speedboat, the recreational facilities at Amari Addu include three swimming pools, a range of restaurants and bars, spa and dive centre.
Dietze will be overseeing all the pre-opening aspects of the hotel. Dietze began his career in Austria with sales and marketing roles before getting involved in the hotel management experience with several luxury properties in neighboring Germany. He has more than 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Dietze later joined the 5 Star Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas in Krabi, Thailand, before becoming General Manager & Island Chief of Mirihi Island Resort in the Maldives. During his time Mirihi Island Resort was awarded the Travellers’ Choice 2010 Award for Luxury.
“During the course of 2011, the resort will undergo significant upgrades including enhancements to the beach and villas as well as the addition of numerous sports and children’s facilities,” Dietze said.
After the renovation the resort will be re-launched as an Amari, the centre piece brand of the ONYX portfolio to be positioned as a leading destination in the Maldives for activity and family holidays.
