Maldives Promotion House – Two of Maldives’ most popular luxury resorts, W Retreat & Spa Maldives and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa lead the 2012 SPG Members Favorite List announced recently by Starwood Hotels & Resorts award-winning Starwood Preferred Guest^® (SPG) program.

In the SPG’s second annual survey, SPG’s well-traveled members were invited to identify their favorite resorts out of over seventy of the top Starwood resorts across nine categories. W Retreat & Spa Maldives appeared in six categories more than any other Starwood resort, while Sheraton Maldives followed through in three categories. Both Sheraton Maldives and W Maldives made it to the list of Best Beach Resort, Best Island Paradise and Most Romantic Retreat while W Maldives also made it to the list of Best Exotic Escape, Best Small Wonders and Best Spa Indulgences.

Both Sheraton Maldives and W Maldives have been tipped for a number of awards this year with several nominations at the 2012 World Travel Awards among others. W Maldives was also recently voted as the ‘Best Resort Hotel’ (International) by the Lonely Planet Magazine India’s Travel Awards 2012.
