Amilla Maldives offers hope to coronavirus hit honeymooners

Published

on

Amilla Maldives Resort & Residences has become the first resort in the Maldives to offer guests the incredible chance to defer a previously time-limited honeymoon/anniversary offer and redeem it up to 18 months later, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The owners of the ‘conscious luxury’ resort in Baa atoll understand a lot of people at the moment are feeling a sense of cabin fever due to global lockdowns, which is making them yearn to travel again.

They also understand how heart-broken a lot of couples are about having to miss celebrating important life events such as honeymoon or marriage milestones due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

So, to offer a ray of hope to couples everywhere, Amilla is offering a chance to delay your romantic getaway until later, when you’ll be able to redeem all the benefits of a celebration package.

In normal circumstances this package would be time-limited, based upon proximity to the date of your actual wedding or anniversary.

Amilla Fushi’s special ‘dream now, travel later’ deal is available for honeymooners as well as couples celebrating their wedding anniversaries. The celebrations can be deferred for up to a year and a half, upon presentation of your wedding certificate.

So, if you’re missing out on marking a special occasion, you can book it on a flexible cancellation basis and redeem all the benefits any time between now and the end of 2021.

The deferred honeymoon/anniversary offer is available for stays at Amilla Fushi for a minimum booking of four, seven, or 10 nights.

Included in the enticing celebratory packages are a bottle of wine to welcome you to your tropical honeymoon destination, one special bedtime ‘turndown service’ with romantic flowers, and an extra 30 minutes added to any 60-minute treatment booked at the island’s gorgeous Jaavu Spa.

Those staying for at least seven nights will also get a surprise excursion to be confirmed by their personal Katheeb (butler) during the stay and a romantic dinner at Amilla’s signature sunset overwater restaurant, Feeling Koi.

And any couples booking for at least 10 nights will get – on top of all of that – a professional 30-minute photography session with a complimentary framed picture.

Couples are also able to combine this deal with Amilla’s other special offers such as renewal of vows ceremonies or special experiences such as a night of glamping like no other, with champagne and spa treatments in the jungle bubble pod.

The amazing deal is available from September 1, 2020 to December 19, 2021, and couples will be asked to show their wedding certificate at the time of booking to confirm the dates.

Amilla will be re-opening later this year with adjusted hospitality in order to offer guests the ultimate peace of mind about the highest possible hygiene and safety standards.

Located just 30 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport, Amilla Fushi offers a choice of 59 Houses that sit gracefully over crystal clear waters, nestle among lush tree tops or hug the shores of pristine white sand; plus eight spectacular four- to eight-bedroom Beach Residences ideally suited to large families, groups of friends and VVIPs seeking the ultimate in space and privacy.

Amilla’s innovative restaurants range from the diverse, informal foodie hub Baazaar to the relaxed yet sophisticated overwater dining at the signature Feeling Koi. Guests can even drop in to gourmet café and deli The Emperor General Store or The Wine Shop & Cellar Door to treat themselves to lighter snacks, a favourite bottle or a gourmet selection of artisanal cheeses.

With an unrivalled range of purpose-designed multi-bedroom accommodation options, and an exciting, inspiring and active Kids’ Club The Sultan’s Village, Amilla Fushi is putting the Maldives on the map as a destination not just for couples, but for families and friends.
