Hilton Maldives Breaks Local Record to Save Lives
Maldives Promotion House – Over 130 staff members at Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi Resort & Spa generously donated blood to the local community this week.
The initiative was set out to meet the increasing demand for donated blood, and has set a new Maldives record for most blood donated in a single day. A total of 59.6 litres of blood was donated from 132 team members.
“This achievement falls within our pioneering role in serving the local community and the high turnout at the donation centre expresses our teams care and commitment for others, “General Manager Jean-Sebastien Kling, said.
Set in 52 acres of white beach and abundant tropical vegetation, this stunning hideaway is discreetly tucked within the unspoilt Noonu Atoll, north of Maldives. Reachable by a 55 minute seaplane transfer from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, the resort offers 221 villas and features four restaurants, three bars and a superb over-water wine cellar.
The plethora of leisure facilities include the country’s largest spa sanctuary with 20 private spa pavilions, a dive centre, watersports, one of the best kids’ clubs in the Maldives, and two swimming pools: an adult-only one facing the ocean, and a jungle-feel pool for everyone.
All villas either over-water or on the beach, enjoy total privacy and feature a host of amenities such as a large sun deck with a day bed, Bose home theatre system and an in-villa wine cabinet.
