Kurumba Maldives Hosts 37 Children From Maafushi Island Orphanage

Maldives Promotion House – In its increased efforts at social responsibility, Kurumba Maldives has hosted 37 underprivileged children from the Maafushi Island Orphanage.

Organised in conjunction with the Human Rights Commission to celebrate international children’s day, all 37 children enjoyed a full day on the beautiful resort. During the day, a number of activities were organised by the Kurumba team, including a relay race, friendly resort and children’s football match and a tug of war.

At the end of the afternoon, the children were provided with a memento bag to take home with them. A buffet lunch was also served prior to presentation of the little goodie bags. Kurumba also donated a television for the orphanage.

This year is Kurumba Maldives’ 40th anniversary, and throughout the year, Kurumba Maldives plans to hold events to mark this momentous occasion as well as preparing a coffee table book showcasing the history of Kurumba Maldives.
