Hurawalhi Maldives launches private island retreat, Kudadoo

Hurawalhi Maldives, home to the largest underwater restaurant in the world, has launched its private island, Kudadoo Maldives Private Island.

Set to open later this year, Kudadoo is a small, exclusive, private island surrounded by a beautiful lagoon, excellent house reef and long stretches of white sandy beach. The private island will be serviced by the newly opened Hurawalhi Maldives, which is located a mere five-minute away, allowing guests to make full use of all the facilities of a larger resort, including Hurawalhi’s signature 5.8 undersea restaurant.

Kudadoo, accessible by a scenic 40-minute seaplane ride from the Maldives’ main Velana International Airport, houses 13 Ocean Villas of 300 square metres (one bedroom) and two Ocean Villas of 380square metres (two bedroom), all with infinity pool, sunset view and personal butler. The Ocean Villas offer privacy, spaciousness and comfort. They feature a contemporary design that resembles the epitome of tropical chic with clean lines, earth tone colours and natural building materials which harmonise perfectly with the surrounding lush, landscaped vegetation on the unspoiled island.

Facilities available in the villas include:

  • State-of-the-art electronics (54-inch TV and surround sound system)
  • IPTV with a range of latest movies, series and TV channels
  • Fully automated lights with dimming
  • Energy-efficient cooling system
  • Handmade furniture
  • iMac computer for guests’ use
  • Tasmanian oak floors
  • Butler service

Despite being serviced by Hurawalhi Maldives, the private island of Kudadoo will also come complete with its own over-water restaurant and bar. The island’s own haven of relaxation, the award-winning Duniye Spa, inspires both with unpretentious elegance and an emphasis on personalised well-being.

Kudadoo Maldives Private Island by Hurawalhi promises to take Maldives’ resort luxury to new heights with a uniquely private and personalised experience complete with all facilities of a resort.

Officially inaugurated in January, the five-star Hurawalhi resort offers 90 villas including 60 Ocean Villas and 30 Beach Villas for grown-ups who are seeking luxury and innovation. The villas are stylishly and beautifully conceived featuring soothing décor, sumptuous linens on king size beds, bleached wooden floors, and private terraces with panoramic views.
