Maldives Promotion House – Taking advantage of the superb night sky and year-round warm evenings, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island offers its guests a Wednesday-night double bill of films at its open-air cinema screen on the beach.  Created to offer its guests a memorable romantic experience, the screenings are free of charge and begin at 7.30pm, just after the sun sets and the stars begin to come out.

“It’s a truly magical experience sitting on the beach underneath the Milky Way and bright stars,” said general manager Peter Nilsson.  “Unlike at a regular cinema, guests here chill out on day beds and bean bags in the sand as they watch the film.  Naturally, this is a barefoot experience.”

Popcorn, snacks and soft drinks are available at each screening.  The casual setting is romantic, with canopied day beds, comfy bean bags and scattered candles in the sand making for a memorable evening.  On clear nights, the Milky Way dominates the night sky above the cinema screen and constellations such as Orion and the Southern Cross are clearly visible.
