Besenyei Shows Off His Skills At Red Bull Air Show In Maldives
Maldives Promotion House – Red Bull Air Race champion Péter Besenyei recently showed off his skills yesterday to hundreds of Maldivians gathered at the Ekuevni Stadium area in capital city Malé. Besenyei showed off his skills in a special plane used for air races at the Red Bull Air Show organised by Euro Marketing, which markets the famous energy drink Red Bull in the Maldives.
The 55 year old Besenyei who has been declared world champion eight times, also won the freestyle world championship and the European freestyle championship. Péter Besenyei is a renowned Hungarian aerobatics pilot and played a major role in 2001, to help Red Bull develop the concept of an air racing competition.
The event was followed by a street style football competition and remote-controlled airplane race. Local ‘Bodu Beru’ group Harubee also showed off their musical talents. Famous Russian Base Jumper Valerie Rozov who was also scheduled to participate in the event was unable to arrive in Maldives. Euro Marketing has scheduled another event to show Valerie Rozov’s performance for next year.
