MAHRP to host ‘HR Best Practice Share’ session on employee relations

Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) has announces plans to host an ‘HR Best Practice Share and Knowledge Session’ on employee relations.
This latest edition in MAHRP’s series of ‘HR Best Practice Share and Knowledge Session’ initiative will be conducted on July 14. The session will take place at the Maldives National University’s Faculty of Education Auditorium from 8-10pm.
During this session, Mohamed Shihab, the Chief Operating Officer at Damas Pvt Ltd, will give a presentation about the best practices in handling disciplinary issues as well as related policies and procedures at workplace, whilst Guraisha Ismail, the Manager Employee Relations at Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) will speak on grievance management and its implications at workplace.
Followed by these two presentations, a penal discussion will be held on the topic of, “How equipped are today’s HR managers to handle employee relations?”
The HR Best Practice Share and Knowledge Session series is a special knowledge sharing forum where participating organisations will present their practices in various aspect of human resources management. These regular sessions always bring out wonderful stories of how things can be done in organisations regardless of their resources or financial strength.
Meanwhile, MAHRP is gearing up to host the first ever learning and development conference in Maldives. Set to take place on August 3 at the Maldives National University’s main auditorium, the Maldives – Learning and Development Conference 2019 is a one-day event focused on finding smart, creative strategies and techniques to meet the current demand and needs of learning and development, to address today’s challenges and to handle the future workforce.
The association will also launch its Speakers Club initiative on August 4.
MAHRP is the first professional association registered in the Maldives, dedicated to human resources and people development. The association’s mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most current and comprehensive resources, and to advance the profession by promoting HR’s essential values, setting professional standards and providing the know-how. It is committed to linking and connecting HR professionals and practitioners locally and oversees through signature events and membership activities.
As part of its aim to develop human resources, MAHRP regularly hosts knowledge share events. The association also organised an exclusive training event in Maldives with world’s leading customer experience consultant Ron Kaufman, and the first ever National HR Convention and Expo.
MAHRP’s main focus for 2019 is identifying key challenges in human capital development and work towards adding value to every aspect of HR throughout the country. This includes a series of activities, including HR knowledge share, best practice share, HR organisational level quizzes, HR convention and debate sessions, as well as inspirational talks with world-class speakers.

Dubai Chocolate Brownies in Maldives: BBM, Dreidoppel conclude pastry tour

BBM’s exclusive Dreidoppel Demo Tour, led by Master Pâtissier Frankie Robin, concluded successfully on Apr 30th, after a 10-day pastry training series across 15 leading Maldivian resorts that requested the training. Two city bakeries were also trained on the 30th. The initiative brought together global expertise and a strong commitment to raising pastry standards in the local hospitality industry.
This year’s sessions focused on practical pastry solutions using Dreidoppel’s premium ingredient range to create Panettone, Dubai chocolate brownies, Mousses, Crème Brûlée, Fill & Gloss applications, and Caramel Chocolate Snacks.

A standout feature of the tour was the passion shown by young chefs across the islands.
Chef Frankie Robin remarked, “What truly impressed me was how prepared and passionate the young chefs were. Their eagerness to learn, experiment, and take their skills to world-class standards made every session an absolute joy.”
