Mock-up Billboards for New Maldives Slogan Released

Maldives Promotion House – The Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC) has released a series of mock-up billboards displaying the Maldives’ new ‘Always Natural’ branding. The mock-ups portray the culture, underwater beauty, pole and line fishing and the natural geography of Maldives.

Last week, MMPRC revealed the new tourism slogan and logo, after a year-long consultation and design process, involving industry and government. The new logo and slogan, designed by Thailand-based global tourism consultancy QUO Keen will replace the 11 year-old slogan ‘The sunny side of life’. The new slogan is ‘Maldives – Always Natural’, which is accompanied by a logo highlighting the country’s unique natural characteristics.

According to State Minister for Tourism, Thoyyib Mohamed Waheed, the new branding will broaden the Maldives’ brand to areas away from mere tourism, making it more relevant for attracting investment in industries such as energy and fisheries, as well as allowing cross-marketing opportunities on Maldivian exports such as tuna.
