Maldives Promotion House – The Matato Maldives Travel Awards 2013 nomination process was opened up yesterday. The closing date for the receipt of nominations is 9th June 2013.

Maldives Travel Awards 2013 has been divided into 5 major categories (Aviation and Transport, Hotels & Guest Houses, Resorts, Liveaboards, Technology & CSR), which in turn have been split into 27 subcategories. In addition, there are two special awards, Lifetime Achievement Award and Most Supportive Resort, to be given by the members and executive board of MATATO.

MATATO Maldives Travel Awards 2013 winners will be selected through an online  public voting and by a judging panel of professionals and experts chosen by the awards committee of Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO).

Maldives Travel Awards 2013 is scheduled to announce the winners at a Gala Dinner at Olhuveli Beach and Spa Resort of Sun Hotels during early December. The Main Sponsor of Maldives Travel Awards 2013 is Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) – Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) with Co-Sponsors Allied Insurance, STO, and The Hawks. The City Hotel Partner is Mookai Suites, with The Official Beverage and technology partners being Bonaqua /Coca Cola and Semicolon respectively.
