Adaaran Club Rannalhi takes part in Make Holidays Greener campaign

Adaaran Club Rannalhi has participated in the global Make Holidays Greener campaign by organising a variety of activities such as tree planting and beach cleaning.

In an announcement, the resort said its associates encouraged in-house guests to take positive social and environmental actions while on their holiday by conducting a series of activities. The activities ranged from awareness briefs to tree planting and beach cleaning, it added.

“These activities not only contributed in having a great holiday, but also helped to ensure that the destination is preserved for years to come,” the announcement read.

Make Holidays Greener is UK-based ABTA’s annual campaign in partnership with Travelife for Hotels and Accommodations to encourage travellers to take positive social and environmental actions while on holiday. The campaign is aimed at encouraging everyone to contribute to ensure that their chosen destination is preserved for years to come.

Adaaran, a subsidiary of Sri Lankan conglomerate Aitken Spence, runs six properties in the Maldives; Adaaran Club Rannalhi, Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, Adaaran Prestige Water Villas and Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas.

Set in the South Male Atoll, Adaaran Club Rannalhi includes 96 standard rooms, which are tastefully adorned with tropically themed furnishings and bedding, and 34 water bungalows that offer a luxurious experience comprising of a private sun deck overlooking the stunning aquamarine ocean. The resort features three spectacular dining venues and a host of recreational activities, including diving, snorkelling and water-skiing.
