Sheraton Maldives introduces Spa Workshops for guests
Maldives.net.mv – Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has introduced Spa Workshops for guests at its Shine Spa for Sheraton™.
The weekly Spa Workshop invites guests to join the fun and learn some of the spa’s secrets while acquiring new skills and connecting with others while enjoying fresh juice cocktails and light healthy snacks.
“Given that our Shine Spa is located on its very own island, we take our amazing surroundings and work them into unique treatments that linger long with our guests even after they go back home. We are now taking it a step further as we share with our guests some of our spa secrets such as creating their very own body scrub back at home”, said Ms. Agata Zwierzycka, Director of Spa and Fitness.
Set on its very own enchanting island, Shine Spa at Sheraton Maldives is the world’s first Shine Spa for Sheraton. The spa boasts six individual treatment pavilions with distinct views of the Indian Ocean, two hydrotherapy pools, ladies and gents steam cubicle and a post-treatment relaxation lounge.
The Spa Workshop takes place every Wednesday at the Shine Spa from 5pm to 6pm.

Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives launches ‘Remember the Quiet’ wellness journey
Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives has introduced Remember the Quiet, a new signature wellbeing journey, ideally experienced over three to four nights, created for travellers who increasingly arrive on holiday needing something more than a change of scenery — they need space to slow down.
Designed around a simple idea — remember what quiet feels like — the experience responds to the realities of modern travel and everyday life: long journeys, jet lag, busy schedules, constant notifications and the feeling of always having something demanding attention.
Rather than creating a traditional wellness retreat filled with treatments, appointments and tightly scheduled activities, Grand Park Kodhipparu has taken a different approach. Remember the Quiet intentionally leaves space between experiences, allowing guests to settle naturally into the rhythm of the island.
It is particularly suited to travellers coming from fast-paced city life, guests looking to reset after a demanding period, and those who want wellbeing to feel restorative rather than like another schedule to complete. It also offers an alternative for travellers who may not consider themselves traditional wellness guests, but simply want to return home feeling more rested, present and refreshed.

A Journey Shaped by the Island
At the heart of Remember the Quiet is not a single treatment or ritual, but a gradual shift into a slower rhythm — shaped through movement, meditation, water, nature and stillness.
What makes the experience distinctive is what happens beyond the Spa itself and how these moments unfold across the island, rather than within one dedicated wellness space.
The resort’s overwater Spa, yoga studio, lagoon, swimming pool, bicycles, sunset views and quiet corners of the island are brought together as different chapters of one connected experience.
Moments of Stillness introduces a dedicated guided meditation at the yoga studio, creating space for guests to pause, quiet the mind and reconnect with the present moment.
Intentionally simple and unhurried, the experience allows stillness itself to become part of the journey. Henna sits at the heart of Carry the Quiet, with other mindful creative activities including woodblock painting and canvas painting also available. A personalised henna ritual in a peaceful island setting becomes one of the journey’s most distinctive mindful moments, followed by unhurried time to enjoy the lagoon and sunset.
The final stage remains intentionally light: Pockets of Peace. The designated Pockets of Peace reveal some of the island’s often-overlooked hidden gems — carefully identified spots where guests can escape the bustle, enjoy a moment of solitude and reconnect with nature at their own pace.
The spaces between these moments are equally intentional — time to swim, cycle around the island, watch the lagoon, rest in the villa or simply have nowhere they need to be.
“Across the world, we are seeing a growing interest in wellbeing retreats that embrace nature as an essential part of the experience. At Grand Park Kodhipparu, we have the privilege of a private island setting where the ocean, lagoon, tropical surroundings and natural rhythms of island life provide the perfect environment to slow down and reconnect with ourselves”, explains Liz Smailes, Director of Marketing.
“With Remember the Quiet, we wanted to go beyond traditional spa and wellness offerings, inviting guests to rediscover the simple pleasure of doing less. By connecting the natural beauty of our island with moments of stillness, gentle movement and mindful experiences, we hope guests leave not just feeling rested, but with a renewed sense of calm they can carry home with them.”

A Different Kind of Signature Stay
This deliberately spacious structure is what differentiates Remember the Quiet from a conventional wellness package. Instead of combining a collection of standalone spa and fitness inclusions, the journey connects existing elements of island life around one emotional purpose: helping guests move from arrival fatigue towards a calmer state of mind.
The philosophy reflects Grand Park Kodhipparu’s wider approach to contemporary boutique luxury, where the value of a stay is increasingly defined not simply by what guests are given to do, but by how the destination allows them to feel.
While guests are free to enjoy Remember the Quiet for any length of stay, three to four nights are recommended to fully embrace the journey, allowing time for its experiences to unfold naturally, without the pressure of a fixed schedule.

Remember the Quiet Includes:
- One-hour relaxation experience at the resort’s overwater Spa
- Complimentary guided Moments of Stillness sessions
- Complimentary 1-hour daily sunrise and sunset yoga
- Slow Lagoon Hour as evening settles over the island
- Pockets of Peace located around Kodhipparu
- A mindful Carry the Quiet art and handcraft experience with a henna hand painting, woodblock or canvas painting to take home
- Complimentary bicycles for exploring the island at an unhurried pace
- Welcome amenities upon arrival
Rather than asking guests to escape from their holiday for a wellness treatment, Remember the Quiet allows the holiday itself to become the wellbeing experience.
It is a signature stay shaped not by how much guests can fit into their stay, but by how differently they can feel at the end of them.
It is remembering how it feels to have nothing demanding your attention.

Six Maldives spas operated by Mandara Spa recognised in global top 100 list
Six spa destinations operated by Mandara Spa in the Maldives have been recognised in the TOP 100 Spas of the World 2026 by Luxury Lifestyle Awards, marking a significant milestone for the international spa and wellness brand and its hospitality partners.
The recognition spans six properties across four hospitality groups: Mandara Spa at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, and Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi; Mandara Spa at Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives; Th.ari Spa by Mandara at NOOE Maldives Kunaavashi; and Wellness by Mandara at Barceló Nasandhura.
From secluded island retreats to contemporary urban hospitality, the six destinations reflect the diversity of wellness experiences across the Maldives. Each is shaped by its unique setting and character, while sharing a commitment to attentive service, therapeutic expertise, and genuine guest care. Beyond the awards themselves, this collective achievement celebrates the dedication of the spa teams and the enduring hospitality partnerships that have helped shape Mandara Spa’s presence in the Maldives.
Wellness in the Maldives is shaped as much by the character of a destination as by the treatments it offers. Mandara Spa’s long-standing collaboration with Adaaran Resorts reflects this diversity across three distinctive properties. At Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, the spa complements an intimate luxury island experience, while Adaaran Select Meedhupparu offers a restorative balance to the resort’s activities and experiences. Meanwhile, Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, known for its surfing and vibrant island atmosphere, provides guests with an opportunity to unwind after days spent exploring the surrounding waters.
At Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, Mandara Spa draws on traditional healing practices to offer moments of relaxation within the resort’s tropical surroundings. Th.ari Spa by Mandara at NOOE Maldives Kunaavashi brings a contemporary perspective to wellness, combining therapeutic traditions with tailored care that reflects the resort’s relaxed and modern character. In contrast, Wellness by Mandara at Barceló Nasandhura brings the brand’s approach to the heart of Malé, offering hotel guests and visitors a place to recharge amid the energy of the capital.

Across all six properties, Mandara Spa’s approach extends beyond a single spa concept. Each experience is shaped by its surroundings, the identity of its hospitality partner, and the expectations of its guests. By combining its therapeutic heritage with an understanding of individual destinations, the brand creates wellness experiences that feel connected to their settings while maintaining a shared commitment to attentive service.
While the six spas differ in location and experience, their success is shaped by the people who bring each wellness journey to life and the guests who place their trust in Mandara Spa. Across the Maldives, therapists, spa managers, and operational teams work together to create experiences that feel welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive to individual needs. Equally important are the guests who continue to choose Mandara Spa as part of their travels, whose confidence and appreciation inspire the teams to uphold the standards of care that define the brand.

This commitment extends throughout the guest experience, from maintaining service standards to working closely with resort teams to ensure thoughtful and consistent care. The recognition offers an opportunity to acknowledge these collective efforts while expressing sincere gratitude to the guests and hospitality partners whose continued trust has supported Mandara Spa’s journey in the Maldives.
“Having six of our spas recognised in the same year is a proud moment for everyone at Mandara Spa. This achievement reflects the dedication of our therapists and spa teams, who bring genuine care and professionalism to every guest experience. We are especially grateful to our guests for the trust they place in us and for allowing us to be part of their wellness journeys. Our sincere appreciation also goes to our hospitality partners at Adaaran Resorts, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, NOOE Maldives, and Barceló Hotel Group for their continued support and collaboration. It is a privilege to share this recognition with everyone who has contributed to our journey in the Maldives,” said Trent Munday, Mandara Spa.
Through each of these partnerships, Mandara Spa has brought its spa management expertise to properties with distinct identities and guest expectations. While every collaboration has its own history and character, they share a common understanding of the importance of wellness within the wider hospitality experience. By working closely with hotel and resort teams, Mandara Spa develops offerings that reflect the individuality of each destination while drawing on its experience in spa operations and service delivery.

Beyond the treatments themselves, successful spa operations depend on thoughtful planning, skilled teams, and a close understanding of each property’s hospitality environment. This includes developing wellness concepts, supporting therapist development, and maintaining the standards that allow each spa to operate consistently within its resort or hotel environment. Across the six recognised destinations, these efforts demonstrate how thoughtfully integrated wellness can enrich the guest experience and contribute to the distinctive character of each property.
As Mandara Spa celebrates this milestone, the recognition also highlights the brand’s enduring commitment to wellness, rooted in the rich healing traditions of Asia. Across six distinct destinations, each spa brings together time-honoured therapies, skilled practitioners, and thoughtful service to create meaningful moments of relaxation and renewal. This shared achievement reflects Mandara Spa’s dedication to honouring its heritage while continuing to evolve its wellness experiences, supported by the people and hospitality partnerships that have shaped its journey in the Maldives.

Villa Nautica expands wellbeing programme with holistic practitioner Adrianna Lawera
Villa Resorts is expanding its approach to wellbeing with a new series of experiences at Villa Nautica, led by holistic wellness practitioner Adrianna Lawera. Centred on breath, sound, somatic movement and intentional rest, the programme invites guests to step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with a slower, more considered rhythm.
Adrianna is a wellbeing lifestyle coach and integrated holistic practitioner specialising in skeletal restoration, fascia release, vibrational sound healing and breath-based movement. Through her signature approach, Wellness for Busy Minds, she makes rest and mindfulness feel more relevant to modern life, helping people build sustainable wellness habits that can exist alongside demanding routines.
Based in the Maldives, Adrianna draws much of her inspiration from nature and the restorative power of slowing down. She serves as a World Digital Detox Day Ambassador and a Global Wellness Day Official Key Supporter for the Maldives, with a wider mission to encourage more intentional relationships with technology, attention and rest.
At Villa Nautica, her programme brings together shared experiences and personalised therapeutic practices designed to address mental, physical and emotional fatigue. Rather than treating wellness as another activity to schedule into the day, the sessions create space for guests to release physical tension, quiet the mind and become more present in their own lives.
The island itself becomes part of that experience. Open skies, ocean air and the natural pace of life in the Maldives create an environment where slowing down feels instinctive rather than prescribed.
The programme reflects Villa Resorts’ wider approach to wellbeing, with experiences shaped by nature, place and meaningful restoration. By welcoming practitioners such as Adrianna, Villa Resorts continues to explore more thoughtful ways for guests to reconnect with themselves and with the environments around them.
