Carpe Diem Maldives launches Super Summer Sale with 10 percent savings on Carpe Vita
Carpe Diem Maldives has launched a Super Summer Sale with 10 percent savings on Carpe Vita and four dives per day.
From July to September 2018, Carpe Diem Maldives celebrates one of the best diving periods to see manta rays and whale sharks in the Maldives.
The monsoon season in the Maldives presents one of the best times of the year to dive amongst manta rays feeding off the plankton. Numerous travel accolades pronounce the destination as one of the best diving destinations in the world, and the summer months are when manta rays and whale sharks are just a few of the megafauna and pelagic ecosystem that appear in larger numbers.
Carpe Vita is the second vessel in the fleet of three luxury liveaboards under Carpe Diem Cruises. After her annual maintenance and makeover in June this year, guest divers on Carpe Vita can enjoy lighter wooden interiors and refreshed colours in line with her two sister vessels Carpe Diem and Carpe Novo.
To celebrate the new look as well as the summer months of active marine life, the Carpe Vita Super Summer Sale offers 10 percent savings and complimentary nitrox on four dives a day. The seven-day cruises from July to end of September also include three meals per day, and begin from USD 2,088 per person.
“The Maldives is home to some flourishing coral reefs despite recent bleaching events. There are wall dives and deep blue dives teaming with abundant marine life to feast your eyes on. Our team of experienced Maldivian dive masters draw on their local knowledge and connections across the atolls to take our guests on dive sites that are easily accessible and varied, providing experiences for every level of Scuba Diver. From its awe-inspiring wreck dives to its impressive walls, Manta Ray cleaning stations, Napoleon Wrasse and numerous renowned dive sites, The Maldives dive destination has so much to offer. At Carpe Diem, we believe great experiences shouldn’t cost the earth, so our Super Summer Sale is just another reason to enjoy our diving adventures,” Agnes van Linden, Assistant Managing Director for Carpe Diem Maldives, was quoted in a statement, as saying.
Voted one of the Top 10 Dive Liveaboards in the World by the readers of Dive magazine in the UK last year, Carpe Vita is enjoying her eighth year cruising around the Maldives. With 10 cabins, each cruise can cater for a maximum of 20 passengers, who can also enjoy the time onboard snorkelling, paddle boarding or surfing if not diving.
Other unique cruises planned for Carpe Vita include marine expeditions under the Dive with a Purpose programme, as well as the first week in July when 20 complete novice divers can have the experience of a lifetime obtaining their PADI Open Water certification while enjoying the Maldives destination.
Since 2008, the award-winning hospitality group Carpe Diem Maldives has been operating luxury dive and surf liveaboard cruises, sharing the beauty of the Maldivian waters with adventurous travellers. Carpe Diem is the only liveaboard operator in the Maldives to offer diving adventures with a team of all-Maldivian dive masters.
With the expansion into resorts, Carpe Diem Maldives becomes the only hospitality brand in the country to offer year-round liveaboard cruises that can be combined with a resort stay.

Superyacht Nord in Maldives
Currently exploring the countless islands of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean is the 142-metre superyacht Nord, owned by Russian billionaire Alexei Mordashov.
Since late December, Nord has been spotted in Baa Atoll, home to several world-leading luxury resorts, as well as the southern island-atoll of Fuvahmulah, which is world-renowned for diving with tiger sharks.
Delivered in 2021 as one of the largest superyachts in the fleet at 10,154 GT, she was built at the German shipyard Lürssen in Bremen with Moran Yacht & Ship overseeing her build. Formerly known as Project Opus, she was designed inside and out by the Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard.
Made from steel and aluminium to PYC standards, the warship style vessel encompasses six decks and can accommodate up-to 36 guests across 20 cabins.
On bridge deck level, a large helicopter landing deck aft with fold-down side platforms provide shelter for Nord’s helicopter that can be stowed away in a retractable hangar that slides neatly into the superstructure when not in use.
A large sports and diving centre on the lower deck, oversized swimming pool on the main deck and a fleet of custom tenders are just some of the other features on board this impressive vessel.
