Jumeirah Vittaveli launches organic skincare brand ila’s exclusive Gold Cell Body Treatment for Royal Residence

Jumeirah Vittaveli has partnered with British Organic Skincare brand ila to offer a bespoke Gold Cell Body Treatment, exclusively available to guests of the Royal Residence.
The Gold Cell Body Treatment can be experienced at the Royal Residence’s private spa, starting with ila’s Manipura massage to re-connect a positive flow of energy to restore balance, leaving the mind, skin and body sparkling. A 24-carat gold infused salt scrub follows to cleanse, detox and stimulate the lymphatic system and body. Releasing toxins and freeing fatigue, the final application is a gold infused serum to moisturise and hydrate – leaving a gold shimmer on the skin.
The Three Stage Treatment:
- Gold Body Scrub – stimulates and cleanses the lymphatic system and starts the process of eliminating toxins from the cells whilst the negative-ions from the Himalayan Salt start to deeply activate the energy body leaving the lymphatic system vibrant.
- Manipura Massage – Manipura means ‘beautiful jewel’ in Sanskrit and is the seat of good health and internal source of vitality. This massage combined with the synergy of the essential oils and 24 carat, gold activates this internal fire thus stimulating the lymphatic and circulatory system. Toxins and fatigue can be eliminated and skin is rejuvenated as the mind and body are restored to natural vibrant energy.
- Gold Serum Application – this anti-ageing gold serum is used in the treatment and rejuvenates skin conditions.
“ila is a product that is close to my heart – I admire the dedication and passion of Denise and John Leicester, the founders of the brand. Our spa is very popular with guests looking to switch off and relax during their island holidays and I am honoured to introduce this Gold Cell Body treatment, exclusively available at our spa,” Gemma Lacatan, Director of Spa and Wellness at Jumeirah Vittaveli, was quoted in a statement, as saying.
The 3,500 square metre Royal Residence can accommodate 14 people, with prices from USD 35,000 per night. This lavish private retreat comprises private beach, dedicated restaurant, spa, two swimming pools, an overwater sundeck, jetty, chef, butler and golf buggy chauffeur.
Guests can enjoy a private yacht transfer to the residence and spacious accommodation, which comprises the main Sanctuary, two Guest Villas and a double-storey guest house. An abundance of lounge and seating spaces provide the opportunity to spend quality time together.
Each stay comes with a host of benefits such as daily evening canapes and champagne, personal fitness trainer as well as wellness consultant and 24-hour resident butler service. Wellness treatments can be enjoyed in the private Talise spa room inside the Sanctuary complex.
Located a short 20-minute ride on board a luxurious motorised catamaran from capital, Jumeirah Vittaveli offers unmatched diversity, subtle luxury and personalised exploration, whether you are seeking a romantic getaway or an exotic destination for your family.
In addition to the new Royal Residence, which was recently recognised as Indian Ocean’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa at the World Travel Awards, Jumeirah Vittaveli comprises 89 villas and suites each with their own swimming pool and direct access to the beach or lagoon. The private and spacious villas are available with one or two bedrooms making them the ideal accommodation for both families and couples. Highlights are the free-standing Ocean Suites, located only a heartbeat away from the main island and accessible by complimentary boat service.
For the evenings, guests have the choice of a culinary journey through India in the resort’s signature restaurant Swarna, or an overwater fine dining experience featuring French cuisine at Fenesse.
The Talise spa at Jumeirah Vittaveli has been named Best Luxury Wellness Spa in Maldives by the World Travel Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Treatments at the spa are inspired by concepts of light and space connecting with the purity and vibration of ingredients. The team produces their own island made 100 percent pure coconut oil, which is used in treatments and available as a take-home souvenir. The garden and overwater treatment rooms provide romantic spaces for couples who wish to enjoy blissful relaxation, while the spa menu also includes dedicated Mother-Daughter and Father-Son pampering sessions.
For those seeking adventure, the island’s water sports centre offers flyboarding. For those looking to experience the wonder of the underwater world of the Maldives, there are diving and snorkelling excursions to see turtles and magnificent shipwrecks.
