After Hurawalhi, Kuredu to host expert-led well-being treatments
Kuredu Island Resort and Spa has joined its sister resort Hurawalhi Maldives to offer a series of treatments with visiting consultant Shaylini, who provides a unique experience of deep healing therapies to help achieve wellbeing and inner peace.
Shaylini, a talented Reiki Master and Intuitive Energy Healer, will be first visiting Hurawalhi Maldives from May 14 onwards before going to Kuredu to offer her unique treatments to the resort’s guests from May 30 to June 4.
Treatments available at both the resorts, which are run by local company Crown and Champa Resorts, include:
- Reiki Energy Healing: This one-hour session is a natural, non-invasive rejuvenating healing method which works to heal and remove blockages, imbalances and pain on all four levels of our being: mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Price per session: USD 110 (Kuredu) / USD 150 (Hurawalhi)
- Chakra Balancing: With Shaylini’s deeply healing roots, she applies a powerfully transformative technique to her Chakra Balancing treatments through components of vibrational energy healing. This is a beautiful and natural healing method which serves to align and balance you whilst enabling a profound release of energy blocks which may be causing illness, disease, stress or negative emotions. The one hour session includes a complimentary consultation. Price per session: USD 110 (Kuredu) / USD 140 (Hurawalhi)
- Indian Head Massage with Chakra Healing: Through Shaylini’s powerful healing methods she has developed a wonderfully healing and therapeutic Indian Head Massage which simultaneously works to align one’s Chakras (energy centres). Price per 45-minute session: USD 90 (Kuredu) / USD 100 (Hurawalhi)
- Individual or Group Divinely Guided Meditation Sessions: Shaylini’s Divinely Guided Meditation sessions are a wonderful practice that will enable guests to release their deeply held stresses and tensions, create a sense of inner calm and peace within and connect you to higher energy fields. Meditation sessions are 40-45 minutes in duration. Price per individual session: USD 90 (Kurdu) / USD 100 (Hurawalhi); price per person as part of a group session (two people or more): USD 70 (Kuredu) / USD 75 (Hurawalhi)

Both Hurawalhi and Kuredu are offering a 20 percent discount on bookings made in advance for these sessions at their Duniye Spas.
Officially inaugurated in January, the five-star Hurawalhi, which is accessible by a 40-minute scenic seaplane flight from the main Velana International Airport, is home to the largest undersea restaurant in the world, and offers 90 villas including 60 Ocean Villas and 30 Beach Villas for grown-ups who are seeking luxury and innovation. The villas are stylishly and beautifully conceived featuring soothing décor, sumptuous linens on king size beds, bleached wooden floors, and private terraces with panoramic views.
Located on a 1,800 metre by 325 metre remote island in the northern atoll of Lhaviyani, Kuredu is accessible by a 40-minute scenic seaplane flight from the main airport. This 4.5-star resort has 383 rooms, including beach and water villas, making it the second largest resort in the Maldives.

Alila Kothaifaru Maldives aligns festive events with World of Care commitments
Alila Kothaifaru Maldives will mark the festive season with a programme that combines charitable initiatives with its sustainability commitments. Guests will be invited to donate, run, paddle and plant in support of local community and environmental projects, alongside dining experiences that highlight Maldivian produce.
Under its World of Care commitments, the resort has adopted initiatives to improve the school experience for children at R. Maduvvari School on the neighbouring island and to protect the surrounding marine ecosystem. Participation in the season’s activities will contribute directly to these programmes.
From 25 December 2025 to 7 January 2026, guests may purchase wrapped gifts from a Christmas Charity Surprise Tree, with all proceeds directed to the resort’s charitable causes.
On 27 December 2025, Euro Divers will lead a coral-planting session within the house reef. The activity forms part of an ongoing conservation effort to strengthen reef resilience by increasing coral diversity through the careful planting of hardy coral fragments.
Seasalt restaurant will host a “Boat to Table” beachfront barbecue on 28 December 2025 and 4 January 2026. The buffet will feature seafood such as giant tuna sashimi, ceviche and grilled fish prepared from the day’s catch supplied by local fishermen, reflecting the resort’s focus on local sourcing and support for the Raa Atoll community.
A Charity Kayak Race will take place on 30 December 2025 and 5 January 2026. Entry will be by voluntary donation, with funds supporting enhancements at the R. Maduvvari pre-school.
On 2 January 2026, the programme will conclude with a Charity Island Fun Run around the island. Branded t-shirts will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the resort’s community initiatives.
