HPL Acquires Soneva Gilli

Maldives Promotion House – According to confirmed reports, Soneva Gilli, one of the two Soneva resorts owned by Indian hotelier Sonu Shivdasani, has been sold to a Singaporean Company.

In the major business transaction that took place in Maldives, Soneva Gilli was reportedly bought by Hotel Property Limited (HPL) and an unknown third party.

Last month Pegasus Capital Advisors L.P., a US-based private equity fund manager, through one or more of its affiliates, entered into a binding agreement to acquire the Bangkok-based ultra-luxury resort and spa business of Six Senses Resorts & Spas for an undisclosed sum. Six Senses Resorts & Spas was also owned by Sonu Shivdasani.
