Kanuhura Maldives announces summer offer
Kanuhura Maldives has added another package to its list of special offers; a summer offer.
The Summer Special 2017 package, which is valid for stays until December 20, allows guests to enjoy 35 percent discount on rates for all room categories. Two persons will also get complimentary half board meals.
The summer offer comes with another two packages; an Early Bird offer and a Long Stay Discount package.
The Early Bird offer is valid for stays throughout the year, but bookings have to be made 60 days in advance. Under the offer, guests will receive a 15 percent discount.
The Long Stay Discount package offers guests 15 percent discount for bookings made for seven nights or more throughout the year. However, it comes with blackout dates from December 21 to January 8, and March 24, 2018, to April 8, 2018.
Located at the heart of one of the most spectacular Maldives atolls, Kanuhura is considered one of the most iconic barefoot beach resorts in the Indian Ocean. Part of the Mauritius-based hotel and leisure group Sun Resorts, Kanuhura hosted its first guest in 1999.
After 15 years of glorious history, Kanuhura closed on August 1, 2015 for a year-long major renovation project. The project worth USD42 million completed late last year and Kanuhura welcomed its new customers on December 19.
A reimagining of the resort, which includes the acquisition of neighbouring Masleggihura uninhabited island, positions it for the latest trend travellers have identified as Gypset; part gypsy in their drive for freedom and jetset, reflected in their wealth and craving for luxury living. The gypset muse of Kanuhura is Erin Wasson, famous top model and face representant of Maybelline.
The new rooms are luxury villas and suites with unusual elegance and furnished with natural materials with a touch of refinement and modernism. Whether you stay on the sunrise or sunset side of the island, you will be overwhelmed by the breathtaking view of the sea. The water villas have a private terrace with private access to the lagoon.
With its seven restaurants and three bars, Kanuhura Maldives will make you discover various cuisines from all over the world such as Italy, Brazil and the Maldives. The chef also provides interactive cookery demonstrations. Those looking for tranquility and well-being will be able to visit Kokaa, the Wellness & Spa centre for a unique sensual experience uplifting body and mind.
Dhigali Maldives has officially commenced its festive season in grand style, highlighted by the lighting of its sustainable driftwood Christmas trees—a cherished tradition that combines creativity with environmental awareness. Enhancing the evening’s charm, the resort’s Christmas carollers surprised guests with a lively dance performance, spreading festive cheer and excitement.
This year, the resort unveiled a captivating Christmas train, designed to transport guests around the island with a delightful touch of holiday magic. To celebrate the season’s arrival, a vibrant street market was organised, offering an array of cuisines prepared by the resort’s skilled chefs. Sun Siyam Olhuveli inaugurated the highly anticipated AstroFest 2024-2025 with a spectacular Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 21, 2024. The event showcased a unique, spiral-designed Christmas tree constructed from sustainable materials, symbolising the solar system and emphasising the resort’s dedication to sustainability and creativity.
Inspired by the elliptical patterns of the solar system, the tree’s design quickly became a focal point of the celebration. Guests participated in decorating the tree, adding a personal touch that embodied the spirit of unity and the festive season. This collaborative effort marked a memorable beginning to AstroFest, a celebration of the cosmos, innovation, and togetherness.
Mohamed Ali, Director of Operations at Sun Siyam Olhuveli, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “The elliptical design of our tree represents not just the beauty of the cosmos but also our dedication to sustainability and guest engagement.
