Kurumba Maldives in full colour

Published

on

Maldives Promotion House – Kurumba, the iconic first resort in the Maldives, has launched a dramatic new corporate identity to introduce its US$3 million refurbishment.

Incorporating a whimsical paintbrush effect and contemporary typography, The Maldives in Full Colour identity plays on Kurumba’s dynamic personality, talking directly to its rich 40-year history, uniquely colourful character and multi-dimensional offering.

The new identity, created by specialist brand and communications agency QUO, will be brought to life through the resort’s new website, a brand movie and in all resort collateral.

It follows a comprehensive upgrade to Kurumba’s key facilities, which began in 2011 and was completed at the end of 2012.

With the aim of creating a more contemporary, inviting experience for guests, the refurbishment saw the application of lighter tones, exceptional furnishings and playful touches to the 154 guestrooms and 18 villas, while public areas were also treated to a major redesign incorporating a fresh design with splashes of colour, new fittings and lighter treatments.

So far, reaction to the refurbishment has been exceptional, with guests responding extremely positively to the changes.

Combined with the new visual identity, the refurbishment marks a considerable investment in Kurumba’s future, positioning the resort at the forefront of creativity in the Maldives and continuing its status as a pioneer in the country’s tourism industry.

Said Mr MU Maniku, Chairman of Universal Enterprises: “Kurumba is an icon in the Maldives and our mission is to maintain its position as a shining light for our destination. We are immensely proud of our history, while at the same time are dedicated to a philosophy of continual improvement, ensuring we can continue to offer an innovative guest experience.

“I am delighted with the new brand identity and truly believe that Maldives in Full Colour represents our home,” said General Manager Jason Kruse. “We are focused on a creative guest journey that highlights the heart of the Maldives, exceeds guest expectations and allows our guests to feel the true spirit of the Maldives.”

The very first private island resort in the Maldives when it opened its doors in 1972, Kurumba draws on its proud history, charismatic character and heartfelt service, to offer compelling and diverse experiences amid a stunning island setting.

Conveniently located just 10 minutes by speedboat from the airport and Malé, the resort offers nine distinct styles of accommodation, eight different restaurant outlets, as well a rich variety of recreation and entertainment activities suitable for honeymooners and families alike.

New blueprint for health and vitality at AyurMa: PraMā at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru

Published

on

AyurMa, the pioneering wellness haven at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, is spreading further ripples of innovation with a newly launched programme, PraMā: a comprehensive evidence-based health screening system comprising technology-based diagnostics.

All guests staying at Landaa Giraavaru are offered a complimentary AyurMa consultation to gain a preliminary understanding of their unique health profile. For those wishing to go deeper, PraMā draws from in-depth biomarker diagnostics, postural and joint mobility findings, metabolic evaluations, pulse readings, iris diagnosis and more to craft a personalised blueprint for optimal health and wellbeing.

PraMā comprises four stages of assessment across a two-hour session at AyurMa. Using the insights gained, AyurMa’s expert team of Ayurvedic doctors, naturopathic physicians and yogis craft a personalised program shaped by AyurMa’s four pillars of Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, Wellness, and Planetary Wellbeing.

Online follow-up consultations with an AyurMa expert help each individual track their PraMā progress back home, while a private online yoga class via www.AyurMa.life eases the integration of a new practice into everyday life.

Commenting on the launch of PraMā, Dr. Arun Tomson, Director of AyurMa, stresses the importance of education as the root of empowerment: “The deeper our understanding of our personal health risks and body composition, the more we empower ourselves to effectively combat ageing, enhance our longevity, and achieve optimal wellness. Through in-depth on-site diagnostics, our goal is to support individuals to live a life that is not just longer, but richer and more fulfilling.”
