‘Yes, I’m in Love,’ romance is in the air at Jumeirah Vittaveli

Published

on

Jumeirah Vittaveli has invited couples to celebrate their love in front of the island’s romantic backdrop of palm trees swaying in the wind with the ocean gently whispering love poems to guests strolling down the powder soft beach.

The resort has dreamed up a selection of extraordinary experiences for guests to indulge in, ranging from a romantic feast set up on the beach, to dinner on a private yacht, to an intimate evening at newly opened overwater lounge Cyan, all coming with roses and gifts for the ladies, and bottles of bubbly.

The epitome in romance will be the Yes, I’m in Love package, including a private submarine trip to explore the fascinating underwater world around the resort, accompanied by a bottle of Moët Ice Impérial and Beluga caviar canapes, a beach dinner with a bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé, where guests are serenaded by a saxophone and flute duet, and entertained by a breath-taking Art of Poi fire dance.

This package also includes a private champagne breakfast in the overwater VIP suite at Talise Spa as well as a couple’s spa treatment, afternoon tea in the privacy of their own villa, a flower bouquet and surprise gift for the lady. As an indulgent end to the dream escape, guests will leave the island on their own private yacht when it is time to say good-bye to Jumeirah Vittaveli – for this time.

Aside from these indulgent Valentine’s Day Destination Dining options, the resort’s intimate overwater restaurant Fenesse will offer a dedicated a-la-carte menu created with romance inducing ingredients such as oysters and dark chocolate. To commemorate their love for each other, the resident artist at the Fihi Art Lounge will customise a red heart for guests, that can then be added to the resort’s picturesque Lovers’ Lane, a lush pathway through the jungle, decorated with hearts hung by romantic guests from all across the world.

“The Maldives are the ultimate destination to celebrate your love for each other. At Jumeirah Vittaveli, we provide the matching backdrop to our guests’ love stories, ensuring they will make memories that last a lifetime. My team delights in providing the extra little touches, in addition to the selection of grand experiences on offer, so that each and every guest will have their own personal dream come true,” Amit Majumder, General Manager for Jumeirah Vittaveli, was quoted as saying, in an announcement.

For lovebirds who would like to celebrate their union throughout the year, Jumeirah Vittaveli offers a package curated for romance – the Romance in Maldives offer which includes daily in-villa breakfast, a romantic beach dinner, couple’s massage, in-villa spa bath, and a 30 minute photoshoot to capture these precious moments for eternity.

Located a short 20-minute ride on board a luxurious motorised catamaran from capital, Jumeirah Vittaveli offers unmatched diversity, subtle luxury and personalised exploration, whether you are seeking a romantic getaway or an exotic destination for your family.

In addition to the new Royal Residence, which was recently recognised as Indian Ocean’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa at the World Travel Awards, Jumeirah Vittaveli comprises 89 villas and suites each with their own swimming pool and direct access to the beach or lagoon. The private and spacious villas are available with one or two bedrooms making them the ideal accommodation for both families and couples. Highlights are the free-standing Ocean Suites, located only a heartbeat away from the main island and accessible by complimentary boat service.

For the evenings, guests have the choice of a culinary journey through India in the resort’s signature restaurant Swarna, or an overwater fine dining experience featuring French cuisine at Fenesse.

The Talise spa at Jumeirah Vittaveli has been named Best Luxury Wellness Spa in Maldives by the World Travel Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Treatments at the spa are inspired by concepts of light and space connecting with the purity and vibration of ingredients. The team produces their own island made 100 percent pure coconut oil, which is used in treatments and available as a take-home souvenir. The garden and overwater treatment rooms provide romantic spaces for couples who wish to enjoy blissful relaxation, while the spa menu also includes dedicated Mother-Daughter and Father-Son pampering sessions.

For those seeking adventure, the island’s water sports centre offers flyboarding. For those looking to experience the wonder of the underwater world of the Maldives, there are diving and snorkelling excursions to see turtles and magnificent shipwrecks.
