Kenwood Travel Explores Five Maldives Resorts

Maldives Promotion House – The well known worldwide and affordable luxury travel agency, Kenwood Travel has introduced five Maldives resort packages from their collection. Kenwood which prides themselves in sending their own intrepid explorers to far off destinations to report back, sent their Senior Sales Executive Lai Yap, Luxury Worldwide Consultant Stuart Clark, and Business Development Manager Dipshaa Patel visited to experience the Maldives. The five resorts which have been included are Dusit Thani Maldives, Niyama, LUX* Maldives, Angsana Ihuru and Constance Halaveli.

They are offering a 6 nights stay starting from GBP 2,259 per person based on 2 adults sharing at the five star resort Dusit Thani Maldives. Boasting the largest swimming pool in the Maldives, an elevated spa featuring tree-top treatment rooms, Dusit Thani is an unparalleled experience in luxury. The resort is situated on a tiny island in the Baa Atoll. The bed and breakfast in the Beach Villa offer is available from August to September.

At the five star Niyama they are offering a Half Board stay at the Beach Studio for 6 nights from GBP 2,295 per person based on 2 adults sharing. An ultra modern beach resort set amongst the emerald waters of the Atoll of Dhaalu. It features private infinity pools, a spa and the world’s only underwater nightclub – set to open in September 2012.

They are also offering a Bed & Breakfast at the Beach Pavilions of LUX* Maldives for 6 nights starting from £1,399 per person based on 2 adults sharing. The pavilions provide a set of spectacular water villas, a private beach and a luxury spa on one of the Maldives’ largest islands.

At Angsana Ihuru’s Beachfront Villa they are offering a Bed & Breakfast for 6 nights starting from GBP 1,449 per person based on 2 adults sharing. The epitome of postcard-perfect, this resort is the only one on an otherwise deserted island. Well over half of the resort is actually on the water.

Kenwood also offers Bed & Breakfast, in Water Villas of Constance Halaveli Resort also for 6 nights starting from GBP 1,795 per person based on 2 adults sharing. This 5-star resort is a haven of utter beauty in the North Ari Atoll, and it lays claim to the largest jetty of water villas in the Maldives.

 “The Maldives is unbelievable – my new favourite destination,” says Kenwood’s Senior Sales Executive Lai Yap, having just returned from a round trip that included hotels on the idyllic Indian Ocean islands.

She explains on her blog post that Maldives, offered that totally tropical taste with a bit of a twist. Being an avid underwater fan, she was remiss not to go diving every day. She mentions that while the Angsana Ihuru had overall the best looking reef and Constance Halaveli the longest pier in the island chain, the family-friendly water villas of the LUX* were a particular highlight.

“There are lots of activities like feeding stingrays and baby sharks. I managed to go snorkelling at the LUX* and saw turtles, sharks. Unfortunately I missed whale sharks this time but they do guarantee a snorkelling trip to see whale sharks.”

The evening will feature a Diwali buffet illuminated by lanterns, festive décor, and live performances. Younger guests can enjoy 20% off treatments at the Candy Spa, a whimsical space offering edible-inspired experiences, hair braiding, and manicures.

Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives will host an adults-only Diwali celebration from 17 to 23 October, combining island tranquillity with festive spirit. Guests can unwind in beachfront villas or explore the underwater world while enjoying curated dining experiences, themed buffets, Bollywood karaoke, movie nights, live DJ sets, and mixology sessions. The resort will offer a sophisticated celebration where relaxation meets festive flair.

Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives, part of The Centara Collection, will mark Diwali with activities on 19 and 20 October in the South Ari Atoll. Guests can take part in Rangoli sand art, henna sessions, and family games before gathering for a grand Diwali buffet featuring Indian specialities, live entertainment, and a Bollywood DJ night. Festive cheer meets island bliss at Kuramathi Maldives

Kuramathi Maldives is set to welcome guests into the spirit of the festive season with a thoughtfully curated programme of celebrations designed to delight families and travellers of all ages. Blending vibrant activities with the island’s natural beauty, the 2025 festive calendar promises a series of memorable moments for all.

The festivities begin on 21 December with the traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the island’s sandbank. Guests can enjoy tropical cocktails, canapés, and live festive music by the resident band. In the days leading up to Christmas, guests will have the opportunity to take part in cultural excursions, such as local island tours, or join engaging culinary sessions including Thai cooking and sushi-making demonstrations. Family-friendly fun continues with treasure hunts, sand sculpting competitions, and live evening entertainment across the island’s bars.

For younger guests, the Bageecha Kids Club will host a daily festive programme from 21 December to 1 January 2026. Activities include cookie and ornament decorating, gingerbread house building, jewellery-making workshops, and coconut painting.
