Babymoon at Milaidhoo Island Maldives
Milaidhoo Island Maldives has introduced an exclusive babymoon package, allowing soon-to-be parents to enjoy a romantic adults-only break, complete with pregnancy spa treatments, pre-natal yoga, private movie screenings and gender reveal surprises.
No one deserves peace of mind more than expecting parents, and Milaidhoo is the ultimate haven to relax and prepare for a new arrival. With secluded private villas situated overwater or on the beach and the recently launched spectacular Ocean and Beach Residences, parents-to-be are spoilt for choice at this luxurious Maldivian hideaway.
Couples can visit the island’s Serenity Spa for bespoke treatments, including special pre-natal pampering for the mother-to-be, which can be enjoyed in a spacious overwater spa suite looking out to the calming blue hues of the Indian Ocean. Pre-natal yoga classes are also on offer, guided by Milaidhoo’s resident expert yogi.
For the ultimate movie night, parents-to-be will be treated to a private cinema screening under the stars complete with delicious homemade popcorn. Couples can choose to enjoy their outdoor cinema in the privacy of their villa or opt to watch their movie on a private stretch of white-sand beach.
Milaidhoo is perfect for those who love the underwater world and is particularly safe for those who are pregnant, thanks to their house reef. Couples can discover the spectacular Maldivian sea life and even opt to plant a coral frame for their new baby. The coral frames are cleverly designed to help coral re-grow and multiply, helping to rehabilitate the reef. Couples will receive regular updates on the growth once home.
The culinary experience is a highlight at Milaidhoo and promises to cater for any cravings; focusing on authentic, light food with clean flavours. Two bars and three world-class restaurants are on offer at the resort, including signature eatery Ba’theli, which is perched above the lagoon and shaped like a dhoni (traditional Maldivian sailing boat) and is the only Maldivian fine restaurant in the Maldives.
Expectant parents who wish to send a surprise message home can even opt for a customised gender-reveal cake which the expert Milaidhoo culinary team will deliver to their villa.
Maldivian-owned Milaidhoo Island Maldives opened in November 2016 and is proudly rooted in local island traditions.
Located in the Baa Atoll’s beautiful UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, each of Milaidhoo’ s 50 private villas have been designed by a Maldivian architect with thatched-roof, spacious interiors, generous private pools , and are serviced by dedicated Island Hosts.
The villas are just a short, barefoot stroll away to three world-class restaurants, non-motorised water sports, fitness centre, spa, yoga and magnificent snorkelling and diving.
A 35-minute seaplane flight from Maldives International Airport, Milaidhoo is a member of The Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
The Babymoon benefits at Milaidhoo are applicable for any expecting parents staying for a minimum of four nights. For more information and reservations, please visit the resort’s website.

Hosted against the panoramic ocean backdrop of B.Heaven Rooftop, this landmark commercial engagement brings Ministry of Crab’s world-renowned culinary philosophy to the Maldivian capital. Built on a foundation that prioritizes ingredient freshness above all else, Ministry of Crab operates under a strict “no-freezer” policy. The 10th edition of SATA was held at Barceló Nasandhura Malé on 8 October 2026, recognising achievements across South Asia’s tourism and hospitality industry, including guest experiences, industry leadership and responsible tourism.
Located in North Malé Atoll, Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives is home to the Pasta Point surf break, which attracts surfers from around the world. The resort’s eighth Gold award in the Leading Surf Resort category reflects its position among the Maldives’ surfing destinations. In addition to surfing, the resort offers water sports, wellness activities and other guest experiences.
“We remain committed to delivering memorable surf experiences and holidays in the Maldives,” said Marlon Robert, General Manager of Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives.
Robert also acknowledged the continued support of guests, the international surfing community and the resort team in securing the recognition.
Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives received its second consecutive Gold award as Leading Beach Resort in recognition of its island setting, which features sandy beaches, a lagoon and a selection of beachfront and overwater accommodation. The resort also offers dining, wellness and recreational activities, providing guests with opportunities to explore the surrounding marine environment.
The resort’s Silver award in the Nishan Seneviratne Best CSR Programme category recognised its efforts to provide dive education and career development opportunities for young people from neighbouring island communities.
Implemented in partnership with Dive & Sail, the resort’s PADI-certified dive centre, the six-day programme enabled nine students aged between 16 and 18 from schools in Keyodhoo and Felidhoo to obtain PADI Open Water Diver certification.
The programme combined theoretical lessons, practical training and supervised dives to promote safe diving practices and reef conservation. It also introduced participants to potential career opportunities in marine tourism.
“These accolades reflect the dedication of our teams and the continued support of our guests, whose trust inspires us to keep raising the standard of our experiences,” said Sanjeeva Perera, Area General Manager, Cinnamon Maldives Resorts.
The three awards recognise the tourism experiences offered by Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives and Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, as well as Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts’ initiatives in environmental awareness and community engagement across its Maldives properties.
