OBLU at Helengeli has appointed Bill Ignatiadis as the new General Manager.

Previously posted as the resort manager of the first property under the Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts Hospitality brand, Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives in Lhaviyani Atoll, Bill has now moved to Helengeli island.

Bill’s previous experience includes working in several world‐renowned brands back in his native Australia, including LVMH, One & Only, and ACCOR properties, and other unique environments and locations. Together with the wealth of experience acquired from working with such high‐end brands, Bill also comes from a strong F&B background which he is now seamlessly incorporating into OBLU Helengeli’s operations.

When asked about his first impression of OBLU at Helengeli, Bill said, “I really fell in love with the island straightaway. It’s fun, funky and fresh, but still has that relaxed island feel. The house reef is really just spectacular and being able to see dolphins almost daily 50 metres from breakfast is just inspiring. Helengeli Island encompasses the true essence of the Maldives!”

OBLU at Helengeli follows Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts core brand philosophy of ‘The Joy of Giving’ which is deeply interwoven into the resort’s customer experience. This is also clearly shown from the positive feedback and sheer number of repeater guests that have returned to Helengeli since its launch in November 2015.
